This was totally a whim purchase. I saw the title and thought, "Yeah. I need this in my life."
Straight off the bat, it's fairly well written but sometimes the author goes on tangents that seem to detract from the content rather than add anything of substance. It can feel long-winded at times. I purchased the 2022 revision and as far as I can tell, the only notable changes were mentions of the Covid-19 pandemic and the author's move back to the UK. Nothing really changed content-wise.
Now, on to the actual meat of the book. The premise is that if you cannot actively change it, if something is out of your control, then Fuck It. And let me tell you, I have never taken the words from a self-help book to heart so deeply. I read this shortly after the start of the new year (2023) and have actively used this premise as my New Year's resolution and it has made a WORLD of difference. I am prioritizing my mental health.
I would recommend this book to everyone and anyone but especially to my stressed-out peeps who are in that free-fall, out of control anxiety spot in life.
