Rate this book
The first book to teach stressed-out new mothers how to heal themselves. Women raising young children in the twenty-first century face relentless, often overwhelming stress. Today's mothers juggle more tasks, work longer hours, and sleep less than their own mothers did. Mother Nurture is the first book to address these issues with a comprehensive program of physical, psychological, and interpersonal care methods for a mother during the first three to four years of her child's life.

As a nursing student, soon to be nurse, and mother I think this book is great. It gives a lot of information about how to de-stress, solve problems in your life, the right foods to eat, activities to participate in, communication with your partner and other. It really runs the gambit of mother issues, but it does it in bullet points, and easy to read snip-its where you could pick the book up and read for one minute and get something. You can really start reading anywhere in the book, which is why I love this for mothers of young children.

I'm having a hard time with the star rating on this book. I think it was well written and the information valuable. It's a lot of common sense info. I do understand that when you're in the thick of it with little tiny kids your common sense goes out the window a bit. The best thing is this book give you permission to take care of yourself - mind and body and the blueprint on exactly how to do that. felt a little overwhelmed by it. The info is given in a very compassionate way with a lot of empathy.
