Irresistible Dragons #3

Wilmers Wahl (Hightower Rudel 3)

Rate this book

Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?

The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

I Loved this book so much. I loved finding out more about the dragons and their powers. I also loved how they dealt with wilmer's Amnesia and his injuries. I just love this throuple so much more than I thought I would. There were so many jaw dropping moments in this book. There were so many twists and turns, and I loved how the suspense thickened without feeling like it was too much.

“One day, he’ll stand up against his father and make right what was wrong. When the True Alpha rises, so will your son, and he will bring justice and honor and peace, but it will come at a price.”

“We have the white dragon and the True Alpha by our side, not to mention honor and the blessings of the earth and moon,” Rhene said calmly. “That’s all the army we need.”

After reading Kati's review I don't think am gonna read the last two books in this series until the sixth book is released. I am more interested in Adar, Oliver and Delton anyway.

“Same,” Rhene said. “Those two guys deserve all the happiness. Adar has had to wait for a long time, watching his pack mates all get mated. I so want him to find his happily ever after.”

What a great conclusion to Riordan, Jermon, and Wilmer's story... though I guess it isn't a true conclusion since there's still much more to look forward to.

This entire story, starting from book one, has been such a pleasure to read and I love how previous couples don’t just fade in the background but continue their story in each book.

A lot happened in this book and it's difficult to talk about any of it without giving away major spoilers so suffice it to say I am very much looking forward to book 4 (not out till May!!! 😭) and am seriously considering reading the Irresistable Omegas series. 5+ stars

There's a lot of plot leftovers from book two which get moved along in this entry from Nora and - you'll all be pleased to read - the relationship cliffhanger she dropped at the end of Dragon's Honor is also sorted out!

Jermon, Riordan and Wilmer are struggling to deal with the later's amnesia, caused by the horrible injuries he suffered when the dragon slayers attached the settlement in the previous book.

There's also something weird going on with their omega and with the Murphy's hanging around and generally being utterly unhelpful and, in some cases, downright rude and threatening, things are a confusing mix for this throuple.

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest entry and it was at times painful, others joyous, to see how patient Jermon and Riordan were with Wilmer as he struggled to get any of his memories of the past two years back.

However, love will out, and as they spent more time together, Wilmer found himself drawn again to both of the men who'd told him they were all fated mates. I really liked how organically this felt as Nora brought the three of them back together again.

With all the other stuff going on in the background, the romance didn't feel like it was neglected at all, it all blended perfectly into the plot and I was enthralled by everything that was going on.

My only reason for not giving this book five stars is that I would have liked more time with the three of them once they'd reconnected as a throuple but I'm very much looking forward to the next book in the series and seeing where the story goes next.

#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review

SO MANY DRAGONS, SO MUCH MAGIC!! What a wonderful and thrilling ride.

Characterwise, while the first book about these three focused more closely on Jermon and Riordan individually, we get a lot more background on Wilmer this time; especially with him suffering from short term memory loss after he was severely injured in that attack on the Hightower pack at the end of book 2.

Their romance continued as sweet as it started; it was so beautiful to witness. And there were also generally so many exciting and jaw-dropping things happening here —wow, just wow —but I won’t spoil any of it.

“We have the white dragon and the True Alpha by our side, not to mention honor and the blessings of the earth and moon,” Rhene said calmly. “That’s all the army we need.”

It’s almost painful to leave these guys for now and I can’t wait for their story to continue soon.

Dragon’s Fight is the third book in the Irresistible Dragons series, and these books do need to be read in order. As such, there may be mild spoilers for previous books in this review.

The continuation of Wilmer, Jermon and Riordan’s story was truly an emotional read! At times it almost seemed hopeless that they would manage to find their way back to their relationship, but the way Nora made it happen over time was just so naturally and seamless. It was beautiful to see the patience and love they had for each other, and I really adored all the characters.

There was a lot of plot from the second book that continued here, and while this one didn’t have as much action, the suspense was still heavy. I liked how the pack learnt more about the dragons and their abilities, I’ve been so curious about what they can do and I can’t wait to see them master their abilities and magic.

While I struggled a bit with some of the paranormal elements in the story, mostly due to personal preferences, it didn’t take much away from my enjoyment of the story overall. It was truly fascinating to see the world Nora created in Irresistible Omegas grow and expand even more in this story. There were some skilful twists and turns, and I was a fan of how the suspense thickened without feeling like it was too much.

Dragon’s Fight was an amazing and intriguing addition to the Irresistible Dragons series - and I honestly can’t wait to see where this series will take us!

Amazing

Wow, I absolutely adored this book! I loved how Riordan and Jermon dealt with Wilmer’s injuries and really took the time to work through everything. I also loved finding out more about the dragon’s and their abilities and powers.

This series is just as immersive as the Irresistible Omegas series and I love that we still get glimpses of the characters from that series throughout this one. I can’t wait to see where we go next with this series. It’s just amazing.

This continuation of Jermon, Riordan, and Wilmer's romance was wonderfully well-rounded. Nora Phoenix balanced the gentle, emotional love journey with moments of unpredictable action and suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat. I was fully invested in Wilmer's recovery from his injuries, and at the same time utterly fascinated by all the little bits of dragon history I learned over the course of the story. I alternated between wanting to slow down and sink into the wonderful, loving connection Riordan, Wilmer, and Jermon shared and wanting to run off and find all the answers to the Doyle clan's questions. I'm completely hooked on this series now, and it's safe to say I'm going to be devouring them as fast as Nora can write them!

Though I'd already fallen in love with Wilmer, Jermon, and Riordan as mates, watching them heal together and move forward from trauma made me fall all over again. The extent of Wilmer's injuries meant that acrobatic, passionate lovemaking was off the table for a while, but the three of them showed the strength of their connection in so many other ways. Whether it was Jermon and Riordan's respect and care for Wilmer during his recovery, the three of them sharing long conversations and laughing together, or the comfortable routine they fell into while living together, I was thrilled by how deep I saw their love growing each day. Life had a couple of big, unexpected surprises in store for these three, and I love how they worked through each of them together, with open communication and understanding. Despite all the chaos going on outside of their relationship, I felt very engaged in the progression of their romance and was very satisfied with where Jermon, Wilmer, and Riordan ended up at the end of this story.

As much as I adored the sweet, romantic elements of this book, I was also thrilled to see the overall storyline pick up the pace a little. From the introduction of the Murphy clan to reveals about the Doyle clan's past and even a rescue mission, these men are really starting to feel the pressure. It was really cool to see some dragon magic at work, and even though the Murphy's were frustratingly vague about what the different types of dragons are capable of, it was still exciting to have a framework for what's possible. Of course, the Murphy dragons were also a reminder of the toxic, outdated views most dragons have about omegas, but thankfully Jermon and his brothers didn't stand for that. There's so much more I want to talk about from this book--Rhene's alpha claim, Emma, all the omegas that joined the pack--but the one thing that's clear is that there's still so much more lurking under the surface for the Doyles to uncover.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

🐉: Dragons Fight by Nora Phoenix
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 stars)

Dragons Fight is a beautifully emotional story about identity, belonging, and the quiet strength of found family—with just the right touch of fantasy to make it unforgettable.

The amnesia storyline is handled with a lot of care. Instead of relying on drama or over-the-top twists, Nora Phoenix lets us sit with the vulnerability of a character trying to understand who he is, surrounded by people who want to help even when they don’t have all the answers. It’s gentle, emotional, and deeply human—even when the characters aren’t.

What really stood out to me was the found family aspect. There’s a real sense of warmth and connection between the characters, where love grows not just from romance, but from shared experiences, kindness, and trust. Every relationship—platonic or romantic—feels earned and genuine.

And yes, there are family secrets, but they’re woven in thoughtfully, adding depth to the story without overwhelming it. They give the characters dimension and bring out themes of forgiveness, second chances, and the idea that sometimes, healing comes from unexpected places.

And now, we must address the egg babies. I didn’t know dragon parenting would be my new favorite niche genre, but here we are. Sweet, squishy, unhatched bundles of joy that had me full-on cooing at my phone. 10/10 would hatch again.

Okay, now I'm anxiously waiting for the fourth book, wondering if we're gonna get more information about what the heck is happening in the Doyle Castle. Will the Doyle's not in the castle reach out to the other 2 dragon clans? What will happen if the Murphys decide to attack? What more can these dragons do? Will the omegas really be able to help them learn more or is it mostly on Emma? Is it possible for the wolves to call other packs for more help if they need it?
What will Riordan name the babies???????
Also. Riordan, Jermon and Wilmer are adorable and I am EXSTATIC that W gets better. Their story has been amazing to read and I loved it even when I was balling. I was almost ready to throw hands with the cliffhanger on the 2nd book, so it's great that this book ended as it did. I'm excited to read Yitron's book.
I can't wait to really see what other abilities these dragons may have but are hidden. I can't wait for them to take out the bad guys either.
I do feel that maybe Riordan was a bit fast to accepting Jermon and his brothers, but it works out as it obviously should since he's mated to Jermon.
The plotline is amazing. Storytelling is on point. And if you're looking for hot 🔥 steamy, intercourse between 3 men, this is the book for you.

A tutti voi buona lettura e a presto 😍

I love this world Nora Phoenix created. I imagine it is one of the hardest things for an author to do – create a world that has all the basic ‘reality pins’ that allow a reader to connect and then begin to change and insert history that alters the face of that reality without alienating the reader. Authors who I think are very successful in that endeavor are Laurell Hamelton, Kim Harris, and Patricia Briggs. Nora Phoenix is another who has successfully done this in an omega/alpha reality. I find most omega/alpha worlds there is always a bit of disbelief or disconnection for myself as the reader, but with Irresistible Dragons and the preceding series, Irresistible Omegas, I feel no disconnect – even with male pregnancies front and center I seem to be still connecting the story to my world. The contextual details such as political bases, human drives and character development keep connecting me to my reality which in turn keeps my ‘buy-in’ factor high.

Well worth reading. For a more in-depth review check me out at https://meanderingthoughts6.ca/

Just when alpha dragon Jermon thought he’d found the two men he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, everything came crashing down. The guilt about bringing trouble to the Hightower pack is real, but Jermon has bigger problems. Alpha wolf Wilmer has no memory of his mates Jermon and Riordan, and his recovery is slow. Meanwhile, Riordan is acting weird. Is it the stress that’s getting to him? Or is something else going on? When the Murphys aren't the saviours they appear to be and Jermon learns more about his magic, he knows what to do - he needs to fight for his men and for his pack.

A lot of emotions, feelings and angst in this book as the three mates struggle with the situation especially Jermon who has to support Riordan through whatever is happening to him. There was also good progress in understanding the motivation behind the Murphy dragons and I feel the wolf pack helped that. I loved the omegas from the Murphy pack, and how they were treated was heartbreaking. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.

If you loved the original series you will quickly realize that Nora Phoenix has done it again with the Hightower Pack and the Doyle dragon clan. We left off with the pack being attacked and Murphy dragons coming to the aid of the Hightower Pack.
Wilmer is injured and taken to the clinic. His burns are severe but the most damage is to his memory. Wilmer can’t remember the last two years of his life. That includes his falling in love with his mates, Jermon and Riordan.
The Murphy clan offers to help train the Doyle dragons. There is something hinky with the Murphys. They are hiding something and it’s up to Erwan, Jerman and the other Doyle dragons to figure it out
Without giving anything away, this story has it all. There is intrigue, mystery and my oh my the secrets that are revealed. I stated that you needed to buckle up. Well strap in and hang on. I’m already wanting the next book.

I'm enjoying this series as much as the first "Irresistible Wolves" series and I love that they are somewhat intertwined. I definitely recommend reading the wolves series first because without that foundation, I imagine a lot of this would lose impact.

In this one, Jermon, Wilmer, and Riordian are the featured threesome and Riordian is surprised by an un-egg-spected development after Wilmer and Jermon help him with his heat. Let's just say that this triad is about to become a family of seven!

TBH. I forgot to review this the minute I finished and went right on to the next book so my plots are easily mingled in my mind but I've loved each book so far and don't expect to lose my appreciation any time soon. Oh, and BTW, the overarching plot featuring the dragon clans is still there and starts to come more to the forefront in this one. I'm looking forward to learning what's in store in the future.

This is again a book which grabs you and doesn't let go until you hit the last page.

There was a huge cliffhanger at the end of book 2 and this one wraps it up nicely. Some bits are painful to read, Riordan and Jermon have a lot on their plate and it's hard to see them trying to get their heads around not only Wilmer's injury but also lots of unexpected events.

As usual, the book has twists and turns and it builds the storyline on without overwhelming but on the other hand you just need the next book and I want to know what comes now and how the clans deal with the still very unsolved mysteries.

Like the previous Irresistble Omega series, this one has a great set of side characters, new and old, and they add to the richness of the story. You want to dive in and get to know them until you realise you have it bad for fictional characters.

Yet again Nora has knock us off our chairs. She sure knows how to rope the readers in with her story line and characters.
I love Jermon, Wilmer and Riodan, their dynamic, not only because they are mates but the overall way they interact and care for each other.
When Nora writes her story tend to evolving that makes you feel the characters emotions and what is going on around them. Her stories are so well thought out, the way the characters mell together seamlessly and the circumstances that brought them together.
Although there wasn’t much in the action category the story of the characters and the secondary characters surrounding them make up more than enough of a great book added with some plot twist.
Overall excellent book and excellent series.
I look forward to reading what’s next in this series. I can’t wait to find out those buries secrets of the Clans.

MM Dragon shifters

Where do I start? Great/brilliant.

It would help to have read the Irresistible Omegas series before you start, as it lays the foundation of the pack.

I loved this and the previous series; I can't get enough of this world. As soon as I finish one book, I search for the next one.

It is well written and has brilliant character definition; the stories just work. I recommend it to everyone.

John Solo did a great job narrating this book, which he always does, which helped bring the characters to life and gave it a whole new immersive experience.
Highly recommend.

Not sorry.

This is the third book in this series and it flows seamlessly from the second. Such an excellent story! Absolutely loved the patience and care Jermon and Riordan showed for Wilmer! Such love and caring these three showed for each other! So many twists and turns in this book that it keeps you totally intrigued. This pack is so caring and it’s so sweet how they treat their omegas! The author does a fantastic job with all the characters and details. A very well written story that I couldn’t put down! I can’t wait for Adar and Oliver’s story! I very highly recommend but also make sure to read the trigger warnings! I am voluntarily leaving an honest review for this complimentary copy of this book

The excitement is building!

I love this and the Irresistible Omegas series because you start with a relatively small scale and find yourself, as you read through the series, in the midst of world-changing excitement. This is the book in this series that shows you the scale that the overarching story about the dragons will take, and I now really want the rest of the books but I must be patient!
Aside from that, this is a sweet second half to Riordan, Jermon and Wilmer's story following the accident which has left Wilmer with no memory of the last two years, including his mates. The gentle approach that Riordan and Jermon take and the hope but also worry and sadness they all have is beautifully shown and I was cheering them on throughout.
