This was an incredible read. I appreciated how the translator was indebted to Romantic poets which made sense for Dante! The notes were informative without being overwhelming. I want to read a few other translations to help me better understand this one. The version I read was not the hardcover and did not have the drawings by Mazur but I wish it did!

So I was alternating Musa and Pinsky, and very occasionally looking at the Italian. As I went on, I relied more and more on Musa's notes.
