Grant Morrison has been working with DC Comics for twenty five years, after beginning their American comics career with acclaimed runs on ANIMAL MAN and DOOM PATROL. En este segundo libro, los diálogos y la relación entre los personajes son más importantes que la casi nula acción. La serie sigue estando perfectamente narrada y dibujada por Yeowell.
Lo que me molesta un poco es esa persistencia de Morrison, en toda su obra, de colocar referencias a su erudición literaria, insertándola en la historia en boca de los protagonistas o de fondo, es decir, personajes secundarios y extras que están leyendo y se aprecia el título del libro. Incluso, en este caso, hay un científico genetista (o algo así) que cita un fragmento de un poema de William Blake. Aguantá un poco, Morrison.

Zenith ya se dio de golpes contra los malos, pero su vida de popstar continua, pero los dioses lovercraftianos, agendas secretas de gobiernos, miedo de una guerra nuclear parecen interponerse.

LO BUENO: La historia continua !!! y crece con ganas, en un tomito hay una agenda secreta de unos enemigos que DAN MIEDO, con planes que parecen ir dos pasos por delante de todos y eso me encanta de los malos , además, el arte de Steve Yeowell se pasa, es elegante, te llena todo de oscuridad pero sin interponerse en la historia.

LO MALO: Se hace muy corticoooooooo...Zenith me importa muy poco como personaje, pero no afecta la historia.

Bueno, hace como 10 años este tomo me pareció perfecto. Hoy le veo varios defectos pero en conjunto sigue siendo un despropósito adolescente genial.

Young grant morrisson is doing fine, i'm enjoying the story, and again, the short chapters compress the story and force you to imagine stuff they leave out. Interesting to see 80s referencing back to 60s, i always thought the 50s was more the reference point but it makes for an interesting take on pop culture. Again, i love the art. Almost All comics should be in black and white considering how good this is!
