Sarah's senior year is coming up - and she decided to make the most of it. She is a girl on a mission: living high school to the fullest.
Together with her best friend Emma she writes a bucket list for her last year in high school. Sarah is determined to experience everything she has missed out on so far, like “Have a food fight,“ “Get detention“, “Be the hot topic of the rumor mill”, “Crash a party” and many more.
But little did she realize how her mission affects others as well. Will she be able to fulfill every task on her list? And is she really ready for new experiences, new friends and maybe even a new love…?
The story was suggested to me by a very close friend of mine, and I was firstly very reluctant to read it, as it's a teen book and it's pretty rare for me to find it fun and gripping. I take my words back and praise her for suggesting me to read it and get out of the hibernation I was in for so long. HAHAHAHA A very cute and entertaining read, of the teens who were going through their high school times and wanted it to be exciting. Sarah, whose Mom was a psychologist had a "talk" with her and when she shared the 'crisis' her mom had warned her from, she discussed with her best friend Emma, and they both came up with the list - Lizzy that they had to go through by their Christmas Ball. The list contained all the different things that they had to do and they did - crossing out one by one by one, till all were completed and they turned from a normal group of friends to the eye catcher of everyone in the school. Starting from Detention to escaping school, moving from one table to another to have lunch with different groupies to matchmaking and finally matching themselves with their preferred loves, everything needed only one word - CHECKED. The characters were just the typical ones of the friend circles we find in high school - Brain (I prefer him with the responsible streak), Emma (a movie freak and best friend of Sarah), Dinah (an artista and very creative), Aaron (the crazy troublemaker with those cute freckles and reddish hair who was with his Texan 'Howdy') and finally Sarah (the foodie and no show of PDA kinda girl). We all find such characters in our high school time (once upon a high school) so it was very catchy and relatable. The protagonist was Sarah, no doubt, but I believed all were very linked and had major roles to play in each and every scene, so I wouldn't isolate a character from the rest and say all were the leads for me. It was lighthearted and entertaining till the end and I loved the last part of kissing under the mistletoe. I am a sucker for romance, and I thought I got ebbed a little with the hibernation and hiatus. Thankfully and fortunately, my reading genre is still intact. HEHE
This book is amazing !!!!!!!!! I have no Idea why I hadn’t picked up this amazing book earlier . The characters are amazing , the plot is amazing . The author’s writing style is really good too. The book is full of humour , the kind that makes you wanna roll on the floor and laugh and from time to time I keep bringing up the references from the book in my head and start to laugh . It’s really one of the must read books , especially if you are in high school , college etc.
A very heart-warming and interesting novel. Sarah is about to start her senior year of high school and along with her best friend Emma, she creates a bucket list. It was difficult to predict who she'll end up with right till the end.
Well, my hobby of reading about teens in their hs couldn't be more obvious with this one.
I like the group's plan for their school year. Just going for it. It was nice to know who the lead girl ended with. But that big guy with his dog was also cute.
Best. Book. Ever. Seven teams! It's like, wow, Sarah's so lucky! I actually wasn't Team Josh, nevertheless it turned out to be quite a good ending. I've re-read this book for so many times:)
