I received this ARC for an honest review.

Great story. While, on medical leave, Liam Murphyis taking stock of his life, and he wants what his teammates have with wife and a family. When asked by a fellow seal who is leaving on a mission if could watch over his wife's friend and her two boys, Liam agrees once he hears why they might need protection.

Daisy Green was an espiring gymnast when she met her husband to young to know she was being groomed she endured his years of abuse until two kids later, and she discovered he had been abusing other girls. Although he is in custody, he still wants to see his kids. But more frightening, he may get off when Witnesses start retracting their statements.
Liam will have his job cut out to protect Daisy and her boys, especially as he is falling for the little family. Loved it

1.5⭐

🤸‍♀️👨‍👩‍👦‍👦The last book I read from this author was really good. But this one starts the same as every other boneheaded ROMANCE/suspense book with a hero who has FOMO of not having his own wOmEn. And a wide eyed fmc who did her damnest to work a marriage knowing her husband is a pedophile(almost?) and constant cheater. I'm sorry I already don't like this book.

🤸‍♀️👨‍👩‍👦‍👦"For someone who has never experienced that kind of trauma, it can be difficult to comprehend why someone wouldn’t immediately report it." That aimed at the cynic readers like me? I would have agreed if she was alone and had nothing to fight for and it wasn't that long. But that's not the case it has been going for a DECADE and she has two boys who had to endure all these as well. And Boris constantly cheated and it wasn't hidden. No one should have brought a child in this atmosphere and Daisy did two of them. And yes I'm blaming Daisy here cause Boris sure didn't want kids.

🤸‍♀️👨‍👩‍👦‍👦Sometimes you have to address the bad as bad for kids otherwise how will they know the difference. There are many noncommittal answers where you don't have to bad mouth anyone and still get to the point.

🤸‍♀️👨‍👩‍👦‍👦That was one hella weird sex scene.

🤸‍♀️👨‍👩‍👦‍👦I like my romance well cooked with a little resistance at least. They got together like the day after they met. On top of that without protection again and again. The way they mention the topic she might get pregnant. When she's literally battling custody of her children with her antagonist ex. It defies common sense. Is it really the time? It fits if the author is a pro life.

🤸‍♀️👨‍👩‍👦‍👦He's helping her with sex insecurities🙄

🤸‍♀️👨‍👩‍👦‍👦A total sappy book.

Liam is still on medical leave after being injured on his last deployment. He's at a barbeque at his team lead Cannon's home when he's approached by Doc. Doc and his wife have a friend in need of help. Doc has been supporting her, but he's got a two-week training mission and can't at the be at the hearing with her. His also concerned that her ex is escalating and might try to coerce his sons to be compliant.

Daisy is an Olympic Gold Medalist, who was married to her coach, Boris Fedorov. He's involved in a scandal involving underage girls. The problem is the girls who came forward have changed their stories and he's free. Daisy has full custody with no visitation, and he now wants that right and Daisy fears for her boys' state of mind since Boris is a master manipulator.

Daisy was nervous to meet Liam and is surprised at the way she feels when she does. She's been around physically fit and attractive men before, but none made her feel the way she does now. The idea here is for Liam to be around during the day to watch over her. The boys are safe at school and the school's both know they aren't to release them to anyone other than herself.

Then everything changes with a text from Boris. On top of that he does a press conference blaming Daisy for everything. Daisy can't say a word to her boys about how she feels or it could jeopardize the outcome of the hearing.

Not only is Liam falling for Daisy, but he's also falling for her children. They're bright, happy, and enthusiastic young people in spite of everything going on.

This is a very emotional book, and Craig the PI hired by Liam more than accomplishes the job he's hired to do.

Plenty of laughter, tears, some action, romance and sizzle as this story unfolds.

A heartwarming addition to this series about Daisy Greene who as a young gymnast was taken advantage of and abused by her coach who then became her husband. Now divorced, she is raising her two young sons, while her ex is in jail accused of improper relationships with other young girls at his gym. When she learns that his case may be overturned, she fears his reentrance into their lives. Liam Murphy, Delta Forces, has been asked to look after Daisy and her sons. He was shot during his last mission and is recovering. Glad to have something to occupy his time, he never planned on getting so involved in their lives, but they have worked their way into his heart. Daisy has never known true intimacy as she does with Liam…he makes her feel safe and loved. Will Liam be able to keep them safe until the threat from her ex is contained? Beautiful second chance for Liam, Daisy and her sons. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation, from the author, for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

Daisy Greene’s dream as a young girl was to become known as an Olympic gold medalist. While training to be a gymnast and after her single mother left the scene, her trainer turned husband Boris Fedorov, kept her under his control until she couldn’t take the abuse any longer and divorced him and with her two sons, moved to another town to get away from him.
Army Captain Liam Murphy, currently on leave from a gunshot wound received while on duty agrees to keep an eye on Daisy and her boys while his friend Doc’s special forces team is deployed. Liam and his PI friend Craig investigate Boris and discover the extent of danger Daisy and her children are in. Spending all of his time with Daisy and the boys, Liam gets close to the family and now has all the more reason to protect his new family before it’s too late. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a heartfelt read that totally draws you in and keeps you engaged even though it tackles some really confronting issues that are in the headlines it still manages to be a wonderful read

Daisy Greens dream was to be an Olympic gymnast that all came toppling down when she fell into the hands of a controlling abusive coach in the shape of Boris Fedorov and to make matters worse she actually married him. Now she has divorced him and fled with her two sons while he stands trial for abusing other young gymnasts. When the case against her husband start to unwind it puts Daisy in the firing line Luckily Liam a injured Navy Seal is happy to become her protector while he recovers from his wounds What he didn't expect was ton fall for Daisy and her sons just as Daisy never figured she would fall for her protector But can these two with so much hurt in their pasts actually build a future You will have to read to see

Jen Talty writes about strong women in bad situations and shows it is possible to recover from a not so good relationship and go on to a healthy one by taking a chance on someone else. Liam comes to Daisy's rescue when his buddy asks Liam to step in while he is on deployment. Daisy's ex-husband is a really nasty guy. He has a thing for underage girls and he got caught. Daisy escaped with her two sons to build a new life - until the ex is set free after the victims changed their minds about testifying. It is up to Liam to protect the family he wishes was his while a PI helps locate more victims willing to testify to put the ex away for life. Daisy learns not all men are evil and Liam puts his heart on the line protecting this family. An HEA of course but not until a harrowing encounter at the end. I received an ARC and I am voluntarily reviewing it because I really enjoyed the story

One of the things I like most about Delta Force: Generation Next was reconnecting with favorite characters from Susan Stoker's Delta Team Two series. Shielding Daisy is the series finale of Generation Next. Liam agrees to doing a favor for a fellow Delta and in doing so finds what he's been searching for; love and a family. Daisy is in the midst of a custody battle with her ex and it's playing out in the media. Liam protection make her and her two boys feel safer but the constant pressure of an upcoming judicial hearin is wearing on them all. With Liam, Diasy finds that their relationship is based on caring, respect and a partnership, not control and manipulation. Happily ever after is theirs for the taking but they have a few obstacles to overcome first; namely her ex.

Wow. For a book that takes on some really deep and dark topics, the story within it is remarkably sweet and hopeful. Because even though Liam and Daisy have to work around the aftermath of multiple forms of abuse and some nearly crippling survivors’ guilt, their story left me with a big goofy smile on my face and a glowing ball of happy in my heart. Their story isn’t all sunshine and roses – see the dark, heavy topics noted above – but it closes out with what is possibly THE most precious ending ever. And when all’s said and done, it’s that ending that’s going to live with me the longest.

Liam wants what his teammates all have a family and a homelife. Daisy wants only to protect her two boys from their father and to have a normal life. When Doc's team is called up for a mission, he ask's Liam to watch and protect Daisy and the boys. This book covers some dark topics and two boys who understand more about what's going on than they should. There's survivor's guilt, and drama, but the book also shows that as long as you have hope you can overcome anything to get the life you want.

Love to read stories that are close to real life happenings. Daisy was an gold medal olympian and was used by her trainer. Liam is on medical leave due to a bullet he took while on a mission. Daisy needs help because of her ex husband Boris who is in jail for the time being. Doc aked Liam to protect her and the boys while he was on a mission. Verbal or mental abuse is never a good thing for anyone and especially kids. A great story with a happy ending.

I loved the story that Liam Murphy finally received. All he wanted was a person that was all his, his teammates had families while he felt left out. When he was asked to help protect someone while his team and another one was deployed, he felt a spark with Daisy Greene right away. I really enjoyed how the story developed as Daisy and her two kids got along with Liam from the beginning and Liam fell for them right away. Great book that you should read, I highly recommend it.

Liam Murphy is on leave after getting shot on his last mission. He is at a get together with some of his team when a friend Craig (Doc) Wagner asked him to watch out for Daisy, a friend of his that moved to Killeen to protect her boys from their father. He was controlling, abusive and threatening. He also cheated on her, and she has finally had proof and he has charged. He ended up getting out on bail and is out to get his sons. Will Liam be able to keep Daisy and her sons safe?

SHIELDING DAISY (SPECIAL FORCES: OPERATION ALPHA) DELTA FORCE - GENERATION NEXT BOOK SIX
Jen Talty

Liam is on medical leave so when Doc asks him to help protect Daisy and her two boys little did he know how much his life would change. When her ex-husband threatens her and comes after her, his training comes in handy.
Another excellent story of right over wrong with characters who grab your attention and won’t let go. Couldn’t put it down until the end.

Being There!

Shielding Daisy: All his team mates had wife's and children and he didn't have anyone! Doc came to Liam to ask him if he would protect Daisy from her crazy ex. Liam said he would and when he met Daisy he thought she was so special. He got to know her and her boys. It was like his parents were there. Care for Daisy and the boys so much. It was a wonderful.story and great characters.

Oh wow who would have thought that it happened like this. Well not me but this book is awesome. Its love, emotions, trust and help. Its about emotional and physical abuse and kids in the middle of it. With the love and support of one man the story will unfold and come to an end.
This book is about a mission at home without the team but past friends. I absolutely love it.
