I really liked this book about puppy training. I felt prepared to get my puppy and confident in a plan for getting started with training. I read through this quickly and have been referring back to the exercises and advice frequently. Also Pippa Mattinson is pretty funny! Her writing is entertaining, which helps make this book not just informative but enjoyable.
I started reading before picking up my dog, and finished the chapters on training during our first week at home. The exercises are useful especially for puppies who are not fully vaccinated. Covers topics like praise-based training, sleeping through the night, and early obedience.
My mom gave this book to me as a gift and I'll certainly pass it along to friends who are considering getting dogs.
