About half of the book seems too dated to be useful, but the other half, the more psychological aspect of land lording seems quite timeless. While I found this half of the book helpful, I would not recommend this book to people totally new to real estate, like myself. There is a lot of jargon which remains undefined throughout the book.
This is a great overview of single-family and multi-family real estate investing. It's a bit out of date, having been written in the 80s, but much of what they wrote is still applicable. I would recommend this to anyone in small residential real estate units, especially if they are starting out or looking for new ideas. This is equal parts technical and inspiration.
This is a good introduction for anyone with investment properties no matter how small. You will gain a basic understanding of how to manage your property and your tenants. The book is resourceful as it provides sample forms that can be used to run your rental business.
