Shadowbreak The Ghostwalker's Chronicle Part II

Rate this book
Hald Baldersson has been the Ghostwalker for a hundred years. He has watched villages become cities and cities become nations… and slowly, gradually, he has tired of it all. His life is spent on the fringes of civilization, in the mountains and marshlands of Ancient Norway, where he makes it his duty to hunt down the last of Loki’s dark minions.

Once the Jormundir, the Great Snakes, were many. Now only one is left… and he has sprung from the shadows to threaten all that Hald still cares about in the world. Slowly but surely, the Ghostwalker is drawn into an endgame with him, from which only one can emerge alive. Hald’s last days are at hand. Or are they?

From across the great sea comes a mysterious figure in grey. Two ancient orders clash. Blood is spilled where no one can see.

One journey ends… and a new one begins.

I'm the author of a few books and the drinker of many smoothies. My interests in writing are primarily fantastic things and true things. I suppose you could call that Good Stories and Theology. If I had to pick a favorite genre, it would be fantasy, but there are good books in nearly every corner of the library, so to speak.

This is really a short story, but one with a great impact. The author's mastery shines through. Reading a Norse tale is different for one bred on tales from the Island and a joy. Read this wonderful little tale.
