From the man who has inspired millions of people to transform their lives and create their heart's desire comes his latest book on seeking and embracing the power source within.

Like Goethe said: "Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
This book has definitely influenced me without me knowing it until now. In the best and good possible way to be in this world but not of it. Yes, there are times when I'm struggling with it but there's plenty of times when its amazing.
I found out my own spiritualness (is this a word?) while being on my own journey and I'm glad I came across this book.
the book contains wisdom as usual but it fails to impress with the usual a-ha and this makes it a rather - or i should say - just another book by Deepak Chopra. that said, for those who haven't read much of his would find this somewhat inspirational.
I am not adverse to the self-help genre. In fact, I am open minded and ready to glean useful tips for the whole "I exist in this world" thing, wherever I might find them. However, this book is clearly one simple message, re-iterated over and over. The chapter with letters pleading for help from Mr. Chopra from around the world, picked up my interest slightly for few minutes, but some of the ailments and questions weren't even relevant.
To save yourself carrying the book back from the library or spending your good money, just remember this: Improve your self awareness and try to be rational. Spend quality time with your prime relationships. Treat them as equal humans. Practice mindfulness to help achieve a rational, sensible self-awareness. This will help to stop you from being thoroughly unpleasant or unhappy or both (probably both).
So enlightening! I started reading this book with no clue of what’s ahead of me. And after finishing it, the way i viewed my self changed drastically. This book is empowering. It confronts you with your problems as if it was living with you, and most importantly it helps you find a solution to your problems. Deepak’s words are aiding, they open your eyes to things you never knew existed within you. The power we each have within us exists, all we need to do is unleash it. This book will take you through the spiritual steps of finding your true self. I took my time reading this book because I need time to be well educated, i needed time to endure such knowledge.
There is a lot of wisdom in this book, but for someone who’s fairly well versed in contemporary spirituality, there wasn’t really anything mind-blowing or life-altering. That being said, I’m grateful that I was able to use Deepak’s insights as journaling prompts to dig deeper into my own spiritual practice. Use this book as a tool for subtle (or radical) perspective shifts, but don’t expect it to shatter the illusion of reality and return you to unity consciousness.
I have heard so many people rave about Deepak Chopra. I was keen to start reading this book. I found it was not a book you have to read intensely, word for word and, as with many of these self help books, in essence it is common sense. The fact it is written word somehow gives clarity. We will all take something different from the pages and I will want to read more of Deepak to see where his journey takes us.
The title is misleading - it isn’t what I thought a book about cultivating self-power would be. I expected next level, detailed notes around self-power and how to monopolise it. Instead the book is mainly Q&As from previous readers - many of the questions aren’t relevant to those of us who are a bit further along their spiritual journey than a newly awakened soul.
i loved the book. except for the part where he answered questions, how can Deepak determines fate of others without meeting with them one on one ?and actually know their circumstances? regardless of. that ,the other parts are just great !
What a great book. It opens your eyes to see things you didn’t see before! I just didn’t like “some” of the answers in the answering part.. it’s just hard “for me at least” to judge others without knowing what their circumstances are and how they actually living. Otherwise I love it. Bravo
Really good. It is comprised of a first part where he describes the foundations of the book and then a second part where he answers letters from people with different problems
Deepak Chopra as The Guardian puts it is “The rock star of new spirituality”. He has been the spiritual guru of famous personalities like Oprah and Michael Jackson and is the author of more than sixty-four books. He has won many awards like the Religions and Spirituality Quill Award in 2005 for his book Peace Is the Way, and the grand prize at the 2005 Nautilus Book Awards for The Book of Secrets .
An interesting read. Essentially he's saying you have control over your mind and what you think and how you react. You have the power to control any situation. But you need to work to develop this in yourself.
Or thats what I got from it.
Its easy to read. Very little jargon. And i liked the format. Starting with his theories, moving to helping real people through real situations, then more or less summarising his points.
Actually I saw this book accidentally and decided to read it because I felt miserable and I was searching about something may show me the bright side of my life and help me to find my self power as the name said but to be honest I couldn't find anything , I think it is not the right book for me .
