Who doesn't love a good second chance romance? I know I do. I loved the fact that the characters were young, so this was first love that had gone wrong that was getting a surprise second chance. I also loved the details to horseback riding and competing that were present. It made it feel authentic.
I started it last night and finished it this morning. A lovely shortstory about Mimi competing at the 2012 Olympics in showjumping and about her past, rider Jack from the US-team. Is he all in the past, or is he in her future as well?
Well written, with a lot of horse-power, a fun, entertaining, fast read.
With the Olympics looming it's easy to imagine that with so many sportsmen and women in one area romance may blossom. This novella is a lovely exploration of that, however will Olympic stress, intense competition and strict rules cause true love or just broken hearts? A fun and well written page turner, it's a perfect book to add a human and vulnerable side to sportsmen and women.
This was a free book and was ok. It was brief and had an obvious storyline. It was interesting to get the author's vision of what the show jumping at Greenwich, London 2012 will be like. Enjoyable read but nothing special.
