Suspect: A Confessional Anthology

Rate this book
It is the night before Christmas in Portsborough, New York. The snow blankets the ground, the shining lights hang from the trees and the smell of chestnuts roasting permeates the air.

Although the city is ready for Christmas, the people who are finding themselves in Trinity Church are not there to celebrate the birth of their Savior.

But not tonight. Tonight they find themselves confessing sins they meant to keep hidden from the world. You'll never see Christmas quite the same.

TL James, born and raised in Houston, Texas, studied English at the University of Houston and Texas Southern University and graduated with an MBA from LeTourneau University.

There is where she cultivated an interest in biblical studies which is woven throughout the trilogy. She spent most of her educational career traveling and working in varies cities where she has met many characters and personalities for her fiction.

She often found her inspiration in the sound of her son's small steady breaths while he slept. As she developed the storyline for this labor of love, she worked tirelessly with her son constantly tucked around her waist. After eight months of sleepless nights, The MPire trilogy was completed.

As an avid reader of literature, her favorite authors are F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ray Bradbury. Lately, her guilty indulgence is E. Lynn Harris, her favorite contemporary author.

I'm proud to say some of the authors in this anthology have never been published before and authors with prior publications brought their "A" game. I think the literary world is in for a big surprise.

This book was not at all what I thought it was going to be. It is actually a very good story with interconnecting characters. Each author told a tale of confession which was made at the church, which was also a character of the book. Some of the stories were graphic in detail, but each was a wonderfully woven tale. Most of the stories were heartbreaking but written beautifully.
