For three years, life is strenuous for Kansas Moore as she travels with her team and saves more people from the clutches of the revolutionists. On the downtime, they bide time by constructing and enlisting for their own cause.

Enjoyed the books but I'm very unhappy with the way the author has handled the release of the 3rd book. Over 2 years of projected and then passed release dates with a constant promise of it being any day now. If you are not going to release the 3rd book just let it be known. You can only string along readers for so long.

I am honestly so disappointed in this author and how they’ve handled the release date. It has been pushed back over and over and then we finally got a release date preorder for January 31st and guess what guys, pushed to the end of February. I loved this series but I’m done with it. Will not read another novel by this author.

5 Rudolph Stars

Living with the Dead is the third book in the Famished Series by Annie Walls. We've wait a hot minute for this book to be released but it was well worth the wait. WE launch straight back in with Kan and her life as she knows it 5 years on.

Exciting, thrilling, dark, shocking and excruciatingly sad, all words I'd use to describe this book. It didn't disappoint and I loved every minute of it. I didn't want it to end. Annie's writing is excellent and I really enjoyed the pace of this book. It was sad to say goodbye to this series, to Kan and Rudy but I'm excited to see what comes next for Annie.

I would not read this book as a standalone and if you haven't read the other books in the series I would highly recommend getting on that.

**Side note: I'd love to see this made into a TV series, it would be the bomb!

This was an amazing read, that had me hooked from the very beginning. This book has it all. An excellent story that keeps you, the reader interested from the moment that you pick up this book and start reading, characters that you will fall in love with and no matter what they have to go through you want to see them succeed. The writing is excellent and the pace of the book makes for an enjoyable read as it is not to fast nor to slow.

This book needs to be on your to be read list, there is no doubt about it.

No Spoilers. Amazing, Annie does not disappoint. This is a book you're going to struggle to put down until it is done. Trying to move when this book just came out was not easy, but hey, who needs sleep? Kanas is a character you love and the story just flows. If you haven't read the other three books in the series (including Rudy's), you are in luck. Go buy them also and start from the beginning.

So so sooooooo disappointed in this author! There were 2 days left until the release date and they canceled! Just like that. No warning and no explanation. Why? I just want to know why? And I won’t be reading this. Never! No matter when will the book get published. Even if it’s tomorrow I’m not reading it. So irresponsible. To have pre-ordered it and have it suddenly canceled 2 days before arriving. I just can’t understand why would the author be so irresponsible towards her readers. The second book was published 4 years ago. I mean it’s not Song of ice and fire after all. And Annie Wells is no George Martin.... Disappointing

This series has been my absolute favorite! I have been waiting for the final part of this series for SO long and it doesn't disappoint! Kan and Rudy have been through so much and to see the end of their story has been amazing. I think for fans of zombies, this is THE BEST series and you will not be disappointed when you pick this up!

I can't think of a better way for this trilogy to have ended. It had me laughing, crying, anxious and is honestly so beautifully written it will give you all the feels.

If you have not read the previous 2 books, do your self a favor and do so. You will not regret it!

Fabulous ending, Annie! I'm sad to see it end but am glad to have been part of journey!!

*Spoilers* Let me just start by saying this book was worth the wait to finish out Kan's story. I had a hard time finishing Book 2, because there were losses that made me too emotional to finish it and I had to take a break from the book. The same thing happened for me while reading "Living with the Dead"! I was so upset at a major loss to Kan's team that I had to stop reading it for a week. Every time I tried to continue I got mad and sad. I knew characters were going to die in the final book, heck they died in book two too, but when you grow to care for these fictional characters it really hits home. I think that's what makes Annie a great story teller, she makes you care for people who don't exist, without you even realizing it until you lose one. Of course there are lots of new characters in this book and how can you not love Xena & the Warrior Princess comment. It's those little things that make it special, especially for a nerd like me!

It has been sometime since I last left off with Kan and Rudy. But once I was back, it felt like no time was lost. This series has always been a favorite from the moment I first found it. Way back when my love of zombies started.

Walls did a phenomenal job finishing out the series and closing it up. These people got the ending they deserved and it made my heart happy. Though we lost a few food ones, we all understand the world they live in and tomorrow is not promised.

Fantastic and unique take on zombies and the people who want to rid their world of them, LIVING WITH THE DEAD kicked major zombie rear. Happy with it all, I recommend this story and series to any zombie lovers out there. 5 Stars

I have loved all the books in this series and grown to love all the characters. I cry, I laugh and I love it . Kan is amazing and yet so very human, but I’ve grown attached to all the friends in these books. So happy to have this ending but sad for it to end.. I can’t wait to reread this one!

Good book but no longer a fan of this Author

Waiting 5+ years for the conclusion to this series made reading this book so extremely frustrating! I couldn’t remember who anyone was or what was happening. Having to go back into books 1 & 2 continuously after all the false releases and anticipation, and then trying to decide if I even wanted to invest my time with the author made me want to give up on the final installment so many times through the first half of the book. In the end, I’m glad I got to see how it ended and it was a great ending to the series. However, I will not invest my time in reading anything by her again as I’m not willing to put myself through the frustration when there are so many books out there by authors who are unabashedly eager to supply us equally hungry fans.

If I didn't love this series so much I would have given up on wanting to read this a LONG time ago. The author has been stringing readers along for years now on when this is going to be released. It's ridiculous and unprofessional :(

I am hoping that Annie will FINALLY follow through and release this soon like she promised (again).

The first two are great, but I was not a huge fan of this conclusion. It's all over the place and seems quite rushed.

Also just a side note - buyer beware purchasing anything from the famished store. I purchased my books back in May. I was told they would be sent out in July. I got an email in August that my order was processing. I have literally emailed them 7 times asking what is going on and where my order is. Not one single response. So they take your money and don't bother to actually send anything or offer any kind of update. This is very frustrating for the obvious reasons, but also I really loved the first two books and I have told all of my book reading friends about them as well. So if you wanna get stolen from, go ahead and make an order to the famished store.

Knows how to bring multiple characters to life

This is a very good series that had a roller coaster ride through many different obstacles! It had so much more then the average zombie story with love and friendship! This author’s ability to make not just one or two ppl in the story come to life but a entire community to the point I would have loved to just know more about at least 10 other characters! That’s what fleshes out a great story with heart that keeps u turning the pages. Please take this journey bc u won’t want it to end! Thank you to the author and I can only pray she will either continue this world or make another series in this genre!!

Amazing

I enjoyed this series. I liked the fact it had happiness but it held sadness as well. This trilogy had a lot to offer on the zombie genre. The characters were amazing and I mean that. Kansas has a lot to offer and it’s more than her being the token bad but. Overall this was amazing and I’m glad I got to finish it.

This book was SO worth the wait. I'm glad the author took the time to make sure the book felt right. It's important to wrap up a trilogy the right way! Tho I do feel like there is room for another novel the way it ended! (Pretty please!?)

This one was one hell of a roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. One of my favorite zombie/post apoc series!

Kansas, Rudy and their team of misfits are back and still fighting the dead and the living. Kansas still has no idea where Rudy is but she misses him something fierce she tries to fill her days by going on supply runs or fighting zombies. Killing zombies can be very therapeutic when you live in a zombie apocalypse.

When a family member of the general goes missing the US Coalition orders Kansas and her team to go look for him and bring him back. What they find is going to turn their world upside. Truths are revealed. Traps are set. Loved ones are lost.

While I was reading Living with the Dead I felt as if I made a few new friends as each of their stories were told and I got to know them I felt as if they were real and I could feel what they were feeling.

I am greatly going to miss all of these characters and their world but I do know that they are going to stay with me for a long time to come. I don’t think I will ever forget them. I would love to read more about Kansas, Rudy, Xena, Reece and the rest of the characters in future stories.

I recommend Living with the Dead to all fans of zombies, romance, horror or end of the world type of books.
