“Darshun Luthais—Nasharin warrior and chosen Guardian of earth, continues his journey across the arctic land of Syngothra, seeking to destroy Abaddon’s Unholy Altar of Power, and bring the Second Great War to an end. But when a new and deadly sorcerer working for Abaddon discovers his plan, he sets up a trap for Darshun and his five companions, a colossal army of darkness lying in wait among the frozen elements, ready to unleash its fury once the intruders are in sight.
Now it is up to King Loreus—ruler of Loreladia to unify the scattered races of Light, and charge into Syngothra before the trap is sprung. For Loreus wields the Golden Sword of Purity, a weapon forged long ago by the Five Holy Races, before darkness had separated them. With little time to spare, the Loreladian King must stop the Elves from another civil war, gain their trust and then encounter the Centaurs of Cestmir, a pious Matriarchy and self-righteous race, where if they do not remember the Sword, they may prove to be more of an enemy than Abaddon."
Ok, this series just keeps getting better and better. J.W. picked up the pace even more with this one. It's full of non stop action, adventure and excitement as Darshun and his companions continue their quest for the light.
The guardian and his five companions defeat even more evil as they are progressing on their quest. They've also found allies in the dwarves (which I found a very humorous bunch). The king of the dwarves bestows gifts to Mirabel to help in the quest in the form of a sword (the Dragon Spirit Lance) and a shield for he feels Mirabel is master enough of mind and meditation to wield such tools.
Being the great king he truly is, Loreladia runs to the rescue to stop the elves from engaging in war against one another and bring peace as it should always have been.
So much more happens, but to tell it here will give away many suspenseful moments (which I do not want to ruin for anyone). Just be ready to be hooked and lose some sleep from the pull The Sword of Righteousness will have :)
Darshun and his five companions continue their journey towards Syngothra and the eventual destruction of the Unholy Altar. Darshun is Earth's final hope for salvation but their quest finds them surrounded by all sorts of evil beings. A new adversary, Damacoles, a master of Blackened Arts and a powerful sorcerer has joined forces with Abaddon. He has successfully captured Kelarin the chosen one for Abaddon's sacrifice on the Eve of Saruinkai. Things are not looking good for Darshun and his followers.
They are crossing the arctic land of Syngothra and are unaware of the destruction that Damacoles has planned for them. They have no idea that the sorcerer is aware of everything they are planning. Along the way they run into Vampires, flesh eating cannibals. After the Vampire Queen places a spell on Nayland something totally unexpected occurs. What happens is something you will have to read for yourself. No spoilers!
While passing through the icy land they are attacked by a Wraith, an evil creature nearly impossible to defeat. But when they discover the true identity of the Wraith they are all in for the surprise of their lives. Once again I am not telling.
Abaddon knows all about Darshun and his followers and where they are headed, thousands of evil creatures are preparing to stop them. But, even while this enormous army is getting ready the group runs into goblins and minotaurs. They are being attacked by thousands but thankfully they are saved by a group of dwarves. The dwarves are a very funny species, the King and Queen both have beards and mustaches and of course, as usual, Darshun puts his foot in his mouth. It was nice to see Darshun and the others having fun and being able to put their destiny behind them for a short while.
King Loreus of Loreladia also appears to have a major role in helping defeat the dark. He is the King of the Sword, a sword that will bind the five holy races of the Light together. It seems like an insurmountable task the Light is facing. The Dark has thousands and thousands fighting on their side, creatures of unspeakable evil. And what of Kelarin? She is the purist soul, but can she be saved in time?
Things are coming to a head and the ultimate battle between good and evil rapidly approaching. If the Dark wins there will be nothing left on Earth, only those that follow Abaddon will survive. Earth's very landscape will be destroyed, trees, grass, flowers will cease to exist. I can't wait for the next book when all the questions hopefully will be answered.

This is a hard one to review without giving away anything, as this series progresses it gets harder and harder to do a spoiler free review. If you haven't started reading this series, what are you waiting for? Seriously, it's one of the best adult series I have come across in years! It has everything, magic, suspense, war! Each of these books gets better and better! This book picks up where book three left off and right away we see action! Baccaro, doesn't make his readers wait for stuff to happen, it happens right away. We get see our favorite characters develop and face new challenges, this book did throw me through a loop there were some surprises I didn't see coming which was AWESOME! I loved this book and the whole series, can't wait to see what happens next!

I have just finished reading Part IV of the Guardian of the Seventh Realm series "The Sword of Righteousness" and all I can say is WOW!! J. W. Baccaro has done it again and written a fantastic continuation of the Saga to save the world. It continues to build on the adventures and charactors and I cannot wait for the next installment.
I highly recommend this series and specifically this book.
