This is a delightful read. The book narrates her journey through the early years of her marriage, her cooking lessons at the Sorbonne and her work with her friend Simca to bring Mastering the Art of French Cooking to publication. Along the way, as Julia and Simca continued to explore recipes, specifically with the average American housewife in mind, there were plenty of adventures all over France and different parts of Europe. This book will make you want to jump on an airplane to Europe and eat as much as you can.
