Rate this book
This book, the result of 6 years work by author Brian Crabb, records the actions of the ‘Fiji’ class cruiser HMS Kenya and her many missions throughout the Second World War and subsequent service, until 1962, when she was scrapped.
HMS Kenya was involved in the sinking of the Bismarck and the commando raid at Vaagso in Norway not to mention convoy duties to Russia and Malta, which were amongst the most hazardous and costly operations in the entire war.
The thrilling history of this ship is meticulously described with much crucial human detail, bringing the ship’s story to life.

‘In Harm’s Way’ is a triumph of well-presented naval detail - lavishly illustrated and full of anecdotes, it is a fascinating and fitting tribute to the men and women involved in HMS Kenya’s exploits.
