Award-winning author Margaret Moore actually began her career at the age of eight, when she and a friend concocted stories featuring a lovely, spirited damsel and a handsome, misunderstood thief nicknamed "The Red Sheik."
Unknowingly pursuing her destiny, Margaret graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. During that time, she also became a Leading Wren with the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve, where she learned to use a variety of weapons and had the weepy experience of being tear-gassed.
In addition to being a wife and mother of two, she's also been an award-winning public speaker, synchronized swimmer, an archer, and studied fencing and ballroom dancing.

Margaret sold her first historical romance and the premiere book of her Warrior series, A WARRIOR'S HEART, to Harlequin Historicals® in 1991. Since that time, she's written over 25 historical romance novels and novellas. She has also written for Avon Books, as well as a young adult historical romance for HarperCollins Childrens Books. She now writes for Harlequin's new single title imprint, HQN.

Cette histoire est la suite du tome "le mariage du viking" et reprend l'histoire près de 10 ans après, avec pour héros Adelar et Endredi, enfants lors du premier tome.
Si la lecture est sympathique, je l'ai trouvé toutefois plus ennuyeuse que le premier tome. Il ne s'y passe pas grand chose niveau action. On est plus sur une histoire politique.
Quant au pacte secret, il apparait plutôt dans la seconde partie de l'histoire et ne reste pas vraiment secret très longtemps.
Ce second tome m'a moins attiré que le premier, mais reste agréable à lire.

At least it was less rapey than a lot of other 1995 romances. The husband and the hero both gaslight this poor girl and that is not cool. The one positive I have is that it has adventure things and battles as well as the romance stuff. It was short.

would have like to have seen the hero and heroine from book 1.

It was ok, even though Endredi was sleeping with a man who wasn't her husband and he was ok with it. The 2 men tricked her at first but when she realized what they had done, she was ok with it. She was in love with Adelar when they were younger and he was in love with her as well so everything worked out good for them in the end.

One I read sometime back, though it took me about four chapters before I recalled the book.

Not a bad read, a few places where the story jumps around a little, but all in all enjoyable. However, not something I'd re-read.
