When young Matthew Ferguson saves three children from the tragic blaze in which his mother dies, he becomes paralyzed, but his friendship with a dolphin helps heal his grief
Brutally sad start of the story (3 chapters or so) then it becomes more of a YA Coming of Age story. The pacing comes off sporadic as I assume the author is trying to find ways to tie-in information about dolphins to the plot. The character development and description of the different settings is excellent. Ending was well-done
I read this book like 10 years ago, when i was in my teens, and i still cant forget this book, it really touched me with its story and the beauty in it! Love it!
There is nothing spectacular about this book. It is a nice read about a boy who is leading a tough life, his relationship with other adults and a dolphin.
