Dragonfire
Peking, 1900 — The Boxer Rebellion
Caught in the tide of history, British-born Hope Townsend could not force herself to leave China. Horrified by the events around her, still, she risked her life to rescue the persecuted missionaries from the knives of the marauding Boxers.
American Marine Major Travis Farrell had little sympathy for the diplomats who refused to face what was happening. But Hope Townsend was different. From the moment he saw her sacrifice for the sake of others, nothing else seemed to matter. For the brave and gentle Hope had somehow made him whole.
