Improbable Eden

A Tender Education

Eden Berenger grew up an unwanted orphan in a loveless household, until the Earl of Marlborough claimed her as his flesh and blood-hours before his imprisonment for treason. To spare her father's life, Eden was forced to obey the wishes of a Flemish nobleman as enigmatic as he was attractive.

When Prince Maximilian undertook the grooming of the unsophisticated Eden for her game of court intrigue, he never anticipated the lessons he would be learning! The idea of a future with Eden was pleasing, but it seemed almost as impossible as the success of their desperate scheme.

This was a little better than your usual Harlequin Romance. Filled with 17th century court intrigue, the main tale pits the Flemish Prince Maximilian against his conniving and evil brother, Rudolph. Put beautiful Eden into the mix as well as a plot to kill King William, and romance becomes a minor player in the tale. Of course, like any Harlequin, girl and boy settle down into a life of happily ever after after overcoming all the obstacles created by the court entanglements.

Not a bad one. If you like romance and action paired, you'll enjoy this book.
