Despite the cheesy looking cover (with an author who looks like she wants to beat me up), this book had some pretty good info in it.

I liked all 10 Biblical women she chose to discuss and while the Deal With It! she threw in at the end of each chapter was both more confrontational and distracting than necessary, her lessons were solid and based in both personal experiences and Biblical facts.

I hadn't heard of Paula White before this, but I have to say she wasn't too bad.

The title says it all. If the elephant in the room is something you refuse to face it is finally going to sit on you. Unless your just darn lucky and most of us are not. I was hesitant to read this book. I did not like Ms. White's tv persona in evangelism. She seemed possessed by money begging and acting a little overboard many years ago to me. However when I read this book I had a fresh attitude about her being maybe a bit more normal. If you need a life lift.... this might be it.

Taryn recommended this book, and it is a PAINFUL read, which tells me that I really needed to read it. I am currently on chapter 2, only because I am taking my time and really trying to absorb what God is trying to speak to me through it! Thanx Taryn!!!
