Touching upon various aspects like meditation, prayer and faith, this book - authored by one of the most recommended Indian spiritual masters - enriches our life and nourishes our soul. It resonates with the message of peace and helps each of us to find it.
There is some real wisdom in this book. You just have to get through some overt agenda-pursuing to get to it. The book was written by an Indian Swami (spiritual teacher) and is mostly addressed to Indians who have emigrated abroad, especially to America (and he makes regular sales pitches for them to come to India as tourists). It's chapters are short and in fact the book is a quick, easy read. But the writing is choppy and reads a bit like a collection of email forwards (which, in some cases, it literally is, including The Paradox of Our Times, which is printed here unattributed, and several other email standbys that you've seen a hundred times before). He has a couple of well-aimed, well-delivered parables to help us live well everyday, but they are peppered with off color, backwards/non-pc advice (such as that if a man is talking in his sleep, his wife should be quiet more often so he can express himself when he is awake.) I think the book deserves 3stars (which is not at all bad by my standards), but I'm giving it four just because I am actually staying at the Swami's ashram in Rishikesh while reading it and writing this, so I'll let my bias tip the scales a bit:-)
