Nowhere near as good as the previous anthology, Unicorns! The longest story, "Naked Wish-Fulfillment" is set during the filming of a porn movie, for crying out loud! Most memorable moment: A cat giving himself a blow job -- can't get much lower than that. Some of the previous stories are okay, but nothing memorable. This is one of those books I used to own and lost -- and have never looked too hard for a replacement.
Selections:
* "The Calling of Paisley Coldpony" by Michael Bishop. * "Unicornucopia" by Lawrence Watt-Evans. * "The Black Horn" by Jack Dann. * "The Hole in Edgar's Hillside" by Gregory Frost. No relation to Robert? * "The Hunting of Death: The Unicorn" by Tanith Lee. * "Stalking the Unicorn with Gun and Camera" by Mike Resnik. * "The Boy Who Drew Unicorns" by Jabe Yolen. This is in many anthologies, for good reason. * "Ghost Town" by Jack C. Haldeman, II. * "The Stray" by Susan Casper and Gardiner Dozois. * "The Shade of Lo Man Gong" by William F. Wu. * "The Princess, the Cat and the Unicorn" by Patricia C. Wrede. * "Naked Wish-Fulfillment" by Janet Kagan.
Afterwards, is a selected bibliography that you'll probably never read.
