Steven Bragg is a former chief financial officer and controller, and author of 300+ business courses and 50 business books. To get away from the business world, he is also the trail running author of Run the Rockies, a PADI-certified Master Diver, an avid skier and mountain biker, and two-time president of the Colorado Mountain Club. He is also the author of the science fiction novels Under an Autumn Sun and Early Winter, the first two novels in The Auditors trilogy.

Decent book if you want to understand basic internal controls across various functions.

The author walks you through different internal control areas (in both paper-based and electronic systems): Order processing, Invoicing, Inventory management, Accounts Payable, Cash and Petty Cash, Payroll, and Fixed Assets.

It has ample flowcharts, SOPs, and ready-to-use forms and formats which is pretty handy.

Hated this book. Bragg doesn't really have "best practices" to contribute, sometimes he has a fad or two. He's written the same book over and over, I fear, although I liked his early efforts.
