4.25⭐️ En yderst god introduktion og guide til en sydkoreansk filmografi, som næsten lige er begyndt at spire for alvor! Min watchlist er lige blevet markant længere😀

A 30-films-by-30-directors journey through the history of Korean cinema.
Let’s even excuse the inexcusable (Kim Ki-duk didn’t make the list*… just imagine, for reference, a similar book on Italian cinema without any Antonioni), a still bigger issue is that entry descriptions are more of a trivia thing than actual in-depth studies and reviews are just bland and sloppy.

An easy and enjoyable guide to the many wonders of South Korean cinema. Huge range of films included: from crowdpleasers like Parasite and Oldboy to obscure arthouse classics, modern and old. Great backgrounds on each director, lots of extra recommendations for deeper diving, competent and interesting reviews.
