Not a whole lot of the information given was new to me, but I loved the addition of the new information about the way the hoof changes and doesn't change when moved.
I like the authors views on taking the wild horse as an example to emanate, though his opinions on the use of natural remedies sound like those of someone not much educated on the subject and a bit short sighted, which surprised me.

All in all, a good read for any horse owner, in my opinion.

An important book for all horse owners and caretakers. Don't think it doesn't apply if you've never had to deal with a foundered horse...prevention is key and this slim book explains it all.

I love you, Jaime Jackson. Genius. Everybody freaks about founder and coffin bone rotation, and he explains that this is a necessary mechanism of healing.
