Chet by newcomer Tom Haikin is fresh, edgy and insightful. Written with a bold and playful prose, this debut is pure, straightforward metaphor for mankind's missed opportunities to make a difference in life. When Chet, an easygoing, at times bumbling guy misses his opportunity to serve the Almighty, God ropes him up to heaven for a little one-on-one consultation.

He has operated the electrical distribution system on nuclear submarines, negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with US and foreign firms, and now he sells liquor at a state package store. However, Tom has always been a story-teller at heart and over the past ten years he has developed that knack into a group of books aimed at entertaining the reader.

Tom and his wife of over 45 years currently live in Williamsburg, Virginia, in a small apartment attached to their daughter and son-in-law's home. He works part time and tries to spend at least a few hours each day writing. In addition to his novels, Tom has written and published a special short story for each of his four grandchildren, immortalizing them with a book listed with an ISBN.
