I read this book bceause theres right a mr.fox at first mr and mrs fox was in the underground tunnle and mr fox go out side because he need to get foodfrom the farmer boggid,bunce and bean and then mr fox's tail was shooted by the farmer Bean. In the middle page40 to 41 mr fox and his four little foxs dig a looong tunnle and found the Boggis chicken house one and one of fox grab three plumed chicken and go to the mrs fox and in the end mr fox and four small foxs and mrs fox and weals, rabbits, moles, and bagers they all cheered at mrfox.

Daughter review: she really loved the story, and when his tail got shot off it should hurt but he didn’t react to it because it was so dangerous. So happy at the end that they got their food, and they survived! Cider inside her inside!

Parent review: fun but dark. Vicious farmers and animals fighting for their lives, never read it myself as a kid.

I have to say, I love quite a few of Roald Dahl's books. I appreciate his cleverness and creativity when it comes to writing. However, I finally got around to reading Fantastic Mr. Fox (I couldn't remember 100% if I read it as a child), and I just did not enjoy it at all. I was wondering if it would be a good teacher read aloud, and for me, it is going to be a no.
