A great idea but poorly executed. The issues are relatively small but they pile up:

-The opening devotions are a nice touch, but the tone is obnoxious.
-The vocabulary/parsing helps for both the Greek and Hebrew are a welcome addition. However, the choice to give glosses only for words that occur fifty or more times for both the OT and NT is baffling. This is a very generous standard for the NT but an extremely difficult one for the OT. This makes the helps practically useless for the OT since only half or less of the words would be glossed.
-There were other difficulties with the helps such as not making it clear what the base form of a word is which made it difficult to know, for example, whether an initial ב or ל was part of the word or a preposition.
-The occasional inclusion of Aramaic passages is also a bizarre choice. The vast majority people who learn both Greek and Hebrew have not also learned Aramaic.

Thus, because of the wild differences in helps between the Hebrew and Greek, this is a great daily reader if one's Hebrew is extremely strong but one's Greek is weak. For anyone else, especially those for whom Hebrew is the weaker language, this is a poor daily reader.

If you want to keep your Creek and Hebrew skills when you're out of school, this is one of the best ways to do that. Every day provides you with a Hebrew and Greek passage to translate. They give you the words that are hard to remember. It didn't take me long each day to complete each section. And it keeps your skills sharp. This is the best resource I have found for keeping me in the languages out of school.

This book was a great idea, but the idea has been much better executed by others. This one just doesn't provide enough help with obscure vocabulary to prevent the student from having to constantly look things up. It puzzles me that forms of היה and נתן are constantly glossed, but far less common words are not.

This requires more time than I have available, so I'll have to return to Kline's delightful volumes.
