I did not read every word on each page so I am putting this title on my abandoned shelf. This book has interesting information. I did not know that that athletes are wired up electronically to the scoring system so that fencing hits are counted automatically, for example. The book talks about how tech has helped athletes in many ways, but Hunter is sure to acknowledge that not all tech is good by adding toward the end that "drugs have tempted athletes to cheat their fellow competitors". Interestingly, when looking over the table in the back of the book, it seems that most "changes in technology" were because of better training and diet. I like the information and appreciate the photos, but the text does not flow properly from page to page. I do not like the "Shoes are for wimps!" sub-header either.
