By studying biblical characters who were brutally honest with God you can learn what it means to "wrestle" with the Lord--and enter into a deeper relationship with Him.
This is a relatively short book and a very accessible read. Dr. Starr presents the biblical case for wrestling with God, but he doesn’t leave you there. He shows his reader the proper way to wrestle, explains the consequences of doing so, and encourages his readers that thanksgiving is possible. I would encourage any Christian who has ever been frustrated over life’s circumstances to give this book a read.
A thought-provoking little book that challenges Christians to be honest with God. When we're angry with God, or confused by the trials we're going through, or grieved by evil in the world it doesn't help to shut Him out. Jacob, Job, Rachel, David, Jeremiah, Jonah, Elijah, Habakkuk, and even Jesus Christ Himself all wrested with God. This book encourages us to do the same and pursue a deepening relationship with our Creator, eventually reaching the point where we really can rejoice in the midst of our trials.
