This was an extremely splendid book with many photos (mostly black and white, some in colour) of locations to visit: stone circles, dwellings of early man (e.g. King Arthur's Cave), enigmatic standing stones, hillforts, ancient rock art (are there any hidden messages?), crosses, underground Britain, Roman legacy, early Christian sacred sites, holy wells and water cults, King Arthur the man and the myth, dragonlore, mazes, customs and traditions, earth energy paths, some modern mysteries (e.g. Loch Ness). Together with maps and detailed descriptions you can plan your next trips. Great book of the last century with timeless mysteries. Highly recommended!

A charity shop find by authors I have enjoyed before. This was an entertaining overview of some interesting places to visit around the UK. It's quite fun as inspiration and has some nice photos.
