By the #1 bestselling author of A Truthful Man and A Divine Truth.

Bishop Marsden’s superiors at the Vatican are pleased with his ruthless removal of traditional priests, and he’s about to reap his reward by being installed as the next archbishop.

He faces an impossible repair his marriage, or help the innocent priest whose vocation he destroyed? Which one is God calling him to choose?
Father James prays daily for God to restore him as pastor of St. Jude Church, but the bishop has blocked his appeal for reinstatement in Rome. A Blazing Truth: A Modern Catholic Novel: Book 3 by Hilary Walke Like how this book starts out with references and resources on the net that you can follow along with. Story picks up where the last one left off, but even if you've not read the prior books you are brought up to date on past events. Located in England. Like how some people handle themselves especially when it comes to preaching the Bible. Others take it upon themselves to dictate what the parish will be discussing, even though it goes against ahe Catholic religion. Follows a lot of priests in different positions in the church as they scramble out of sorts when they have been cancelled. Never heard this phrase before and don't recall it happening in US when I was growing up in Catholic schools. Like when they are reinstated and combine forces with those who were put in their place. Glad they found out who the rat was in this case but there is a death among them, he felt God left him. Like locations and people involved that I've followed throughout, even new ones and how to provide solutions and get along for the good of the Church. Highly recommend this one. Received a review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
I have finally finished the last of a trilogy written by Hillary Walker, "Blazing Truth: A Modern Catholic Novel Book 3. Like the other two books, it was a great read with Catholic truths dispersed throughout the book. Bishop Marden became the main character who struggles with going to the side of the truth and support the priests that he managed to cancel. Father James one of the main characters from the first two books becomes Bishop Marden's confessor. Events rev up when a spy, originally for Bishop Marden, becomes a spy for Bishop Penster. Both Bishops are vying for Archbishopric and are revivals. Bishop Penster is bent on being the Archbishop. Events keep happening that lead both men on different paths. One good and one not so good.
I really enjoyed this trilogy. The author did a great job of developing the characters and telling a story that is all too true in the Catholic Church today: good, holy priests cancelled for adhering to the truths of the Magisterium that has created saints over 20 centuries, not caving to the Church’s hierarchy’s attempts to secularize Her. Unfortunately, I’ve seen the unjust cancellation of priests happen first-hand in my diocese, so this trilogy hit close to home.
As one progresses through each book, one sees instances of remorse, repentance, forgiveness, and deepened faith, flavored with great advice and solid Church teaching. I’m glad I came across this wonderful series!
This one is a fast-moving story. It contains a little scripture quoting, but mostly it's about fixing wrongs.
It shows that doing the right thing is not the same as doing the easy thing. Listening to that still small voice isn't always easy. Honest prayer helps. Having people you can trust helps.
This book has been well-written. Hilary Walker 's literary skill has helped her to create an excellent fictional story that demonstrates the actual truth about what is happening in real life. Please read Books 1 and 2 . They give more insight into the grave injustices happening to good priests. Pray for our priests.
Ms. Walker never disappoints. I have read just about very book she has written. The hardest part is the end of a series. Each time I miss the characters that live in Ms. Walker's imagination. She has become such a blessing in my life. She is also a teacher and servant of Jesus Christ. Thank you for following the call God has on your life!
This was by far the best religious contemporary book I've ever read
Its so hard when you have just finished the best three books I have read in a long time. Its hard enough to find good religious stories. This one had it all, I should say "all three". I will.be on another long quest to find the next great religious novel, or mystery, ill settle for any genre!
A real page turner ! As a Roman Catholic it's not easy to find authentic stories about religion people of faith and their struggles. Ms. Walker is an excellent author
Well written and encouraging depiction of what is happening in our Catholic Church. It feels grim, but God is overseeing this mess we’ve made and I believe in His Mercy.
This is a perspective that few are aware of. We should all read this and research for ourselves - what the condition of the church is - as well as the condition of our own souls.
