Rate this book
Offbeat illustrations perfectly complement this jazzy tale of a too-cool, witty kitty who strolls into town one day

""Ooo, you didn't want to do that," said a black cat sitting nearby on the wall. "Terrible bad luck that is." "

""Listen, friend," snapped the white cat, "when you look this good, you don't need luck ""

Let us introduce you to One Cool Cat. He's a smart, sharp, cat who is here to tell you that when you've got looks that could kill, and style in your smile, you don't need luck on your side--or do you? Combining a hilarious story with stylish illustrations, this deliciously paced tale will be perfect for all book-loving and cat-loving households.

This picture book tells the story about a 'Cool' Cat who is constantly tempting fate no matter what the Black Cat warns for example; breaking glass, walking under ladders which could lead to 'bad luck'. Because he thinks he is so 'cool', there is no such thing as bad luck, though would this last?

I enjoyed reading this book, and I believe children would to because each page is a mystery and we have to predict what could happen to the Cats and also the dog who receives the most of the bad luck instead of the 'Cool Cat'.

This book also allows a pattern of 'one cool cat' on each situation, this allows the children reading to join in, which then motivates and engages the children's interest in the story. This story also covers morals and 'luck' in which children could discuss this during a PSHE lesson for example, such as leading to discussing what they believe as everyone believes in different superstitions (could be cultural to - link to RE)
