A fun read for any child who is interested in football/soccer. It has a well developed plot with a clear problem & solution and a dynamic conclusion. Thread through the story is the theme of "teamwork." The efforts of the coach to help the troubled striker encourage the values of understanding and persistence.

Have just finished reading this with my son. He loves the mixture of comic and writing and found most of this quite an easy read. Brilliant books for the first reader.
