This book was disappointingly lacking in-depth information on really any subject. It touched briefly on many various aspects of gardening, from location, to soil improvement, to how to grow specific types of crops. Practical Gardener's Guide to Growing Vegetables, Fruits, and Herbs: A Complete How to Handbook for Gardening for the Table by Richard Bird (Anness 2007) (635.0). This is a thorough “How to” book for gardeners whether experts or beginners. My rating: 7/10, finished 2009.
This book was not as helpful as I wanted it to be. The content was rather all over the place and is probably better suited for more advanced gardeners, although at that point I doubt this book would help you much.
