A young widower dedicated to his daughter and his dream job. The woman who followed him to college only to watch him fall for someone else. And the little girl who just might bring them together.
Luke Duncan dreamed of starting an organic farm as an addition to the family ranch and now that dream is reality. But losing his wife before he could prove his idea has driven him to succeed. With Christmas drawing near, his ideas to support the holiday theme will either take him to the next level or embarrass him publicly.
Allie Patrick was so certain that if she got Luke away from their home town he’d finally see her as someone he could date. A real woman. She couldn’t have been more wrong. That truth still stings all these years later.
But now that Allie is teaching Luke’s daughter, Molly, in third grade she has another chance. Teaching the child of your lifelong crush is a fine line to walk. When Molly grows close to Allie, Luke has no choice but to notice the woman his daughter has grown attached to.

A Wish For The Single Dad Cowboy begins the Christmas in Sweet Bloom, Texas series with a hero who is completely clueless as to the heroine’s long years of loving him. I can’t figure out if Luke is willingly clueless, personality-wise clueless… or simply wasn’t able to read the signs from Allie, signs that just about everyone in their small town (even his sister, Allie’s friend) could read like a newspaper. My point is simply that whether you find Luke amusing or frustrating in his cluelessness (I experienced both at different times in the story)… it’s real; he really doesn’t know that Allie has loved him since High School, even going so far as to follow him to attend the same college he did, thinking that away from their hometown, he might start to see that they could be more than just friends.
Unfortunately for Allie, she made the mistake of introducing Luke to her friend Shellie… and they fell in love, married, had a child, and then Shellie died. Now, Luke is a grieving widower raising his daughter, Molly, being devoted to her well-being, to raising her as he believed his wife would have wanted with a lot of “Your mother would…” beginning so many of his sentences of explaining why rules were to be taken seriously and why she should grow up to be just like the mom she never knew. He is determined to make his part of the family farm be successful in organic farming, even beginning a new project of Christmas trees to sell in a few years. He is devoted and driven to succeed since he believes he is living the life that Shellie would have wanted for them both. He never considered that wouldn’t have been her wish or that he would turn out to be so terribly wrong about so many things.
Throughout A Wish For The Single Dad Cowboy, I felt so badly for Allie. She’s loved Luke for most of her life, watched his indifference and his falling in love with someone else. She’s lonely and yet has decided to no longer pursue any other relationship since they all leave her emotionless toward the man who isn’t Luke. She’s resolved to live her life alone, with her wish for children of her own being transferred to the young elementary children she’s teaching. Molly will be in her class this year. That fact will change the dynamics between Allie and Luke as he’s about to hear some things he is not going to want to listen to at all.
I enjoyed A Wish For The Single Dad Cowboy very much. There is joy for this couple eventually, but they are going to have a very rocky road before finding the love that can last a lifetime for them—without Shellie’s shadow hanging over them. There are emotions to feel in this one, from empathy to frustration to sadness to eventual joy. It was an excellent way to start off the new series, and I look forward to the next release soon.

If you are looking for a sweet and very engaging book with fascinating characters that you can’t help but love, then this book is for you. Luke is a widowed father to a young daughter. He dedicated himself to his daughter and his organic farm after his wife died in childbirth and has never dated anyone in the nine years since.
Allie, an elementary school teacher, is firmly in the friend zone with Luke, his sister’s friend actually, even though she has had a crush on him for years. She has tried dating others, but she always feels overlooked and insecure. She is lonely and believes a relationship and marriage are not in her future. Fate or a divine entity have other plans for her. This year, Luke’s daughter Molly is in Allie’s class which necessitates more interaction with him. Suddenly Luke is taking more notice of Allie, her freckles her hair, her kindness to his daughter. It also seems that everyone around them is pointing out his or her to attributes to each of them in turn and nudging them toward each other.
When Allie encourages him with his plan to sell Christmas trees and makes some great suggestions, Luke finds himself seeking her out. He has no idea about her feelings for him, or how bittersweet spending time with him is for her. Allie is afraid to let herself hope that maybe Luke will finally see her and be interested in dating her. A stolen kiss changes everything between them. They have a lot to sort through including their insecurities, doubts and fears, but maybe they also have a chance at a happily ever after.

An amazing second chance at love when Luke realizes that he had been over looking his sister's bestfriend, Allie for years. They were all three friends in high school, and she even introduced him to his deceased wife. Allie had always had a crush on Luke, but she recently discovered that she was not as past it as she would have liked with his daughter, Molly in her fourth grade class. He was a doting father doing the best a single father could do. His sister got mad at him for taking advantage of Allie instead of treating her like Molly's teacher made him really wake-up and think things over. He had been a widower for a long time, but he did not have time for a relationship with trying to start the new business. He did need to apologize to Allie though, and he told her about his new venture. She wanted to help him get started for this holiday season as a volunteer. They would be spending even more time together. Would he ever see what was right in front of his face?.

What a great story! Allie has always loved Luke since they were children. Unfortunately, her dream of being with him forever came crashing down when she introduced her roommate, Shellie, to Luke. They were married and during childbirth, Shellie passed away. Now, Luke is raising Molly and working on his organic farm. Allie is teaching Molly and they become close. All the old feelings emerge and she would love to have a future with Luke. Will Luke realize that Allie is in love with him? Does he feel the same? Join Allie, Luke, and Molly as they travel this road together.
The narrative was detailed in setting the scene and the chemistry between the characters were outstanding. The author did a good job expressing the pain and love between Allie and Luke. I found myself not wanting to put it down.

What a wonderful story. Luke is a widower, raising his 9 year old daughter, Molly. Allie's best friend is Luke's sister, Pippa, and is also Molly's teacher. Allie has had a crush on Luke since her teen years but Luke never noticed. With Allie being Molly's teacher, she and Luke are thrown together more often. Luke tells Allie about an idea he has and she's ery encouraging to him about it. He starts thinking about their friendship and how Allie has always been that way with him and how much he appreciates that. He was a little dense in not knowing Allie had a crush on him though. His sister and brother always knew. Anyway, Allie and Luke end up dating and it goes great. The author wrote such a wonderful, clean realistic story. I love that she included not 1 but 2 epilogues. I highly recommend this book.

I was a little conflicited with this story. I mean Allie has been in love with Luke for decades. She grow up loving him. The problem, Luke only saw her as his sister's BFF. Allie even followed Luke to college. Unfortunately for her, Allie introduced Luke to her room mate (Shellie) and they fell in love and got married. When Shellie dies in childbirth, Luke loses his soulmate. Now the little girl (Molly) is in 4th grade and Allie is her teacher. Things get complicated fast!
Can these two overcome the past to have a future together? My heart just broke for Allie and Molly both. Luke didn't get too high in my estimation.
I adored the dual POV format. Getting into both of the main characters' thoughts really help me to understand and connect to them during a scene.
This is a sweet, clean romance. There is just a little kissing so the book is appropriate for all.
Blurb: A young widower dedicated to his daughter and his dream job. The woman who followed him to college only to watch him fall for someone else. And the little girl who just might bring them together.
I love reading April's books and this is the first book in her new series. Wow, this has not been a disappointment. Written brilliantly, with wonderful characters and a strong believable storyline. You can not help but wish Luke and Allie to connect and tell each other their feelings. I highly recommend this book to all and can guarantee you will not be disappointed in this. Thank you, April, for another wonderful read, and I look forward to reading more. The cover is Chrismtasy, which grabs the attention of the reader and is so pretty.

A little girl's wishes... Can the wish come true or just vanish in the wind?
One side of love, that never fades... some guilt and regret but she keeps going.
He had no time for a relationship or seeking love. All his time is for his daughter and the farm.
But something changed... the blindfold fall, and now he can see the more precious treasure that always has there... for him.
Second chances are priceless and precious. Can you take the risk of love or lose it forever? A beautiful clean Christian story that gonna make you smile and shed some tears. Once you start you gonna finish the book. Like I did. Enjoy your reading.

I ended this feeling meh. It was okay but just felt off. I’m not sure how all these feelings ending up being dealt with so easily or quickly. There was so little discussion about the past and Luke falling for Shellie, the apparent friend of Allie, who had been in love with Luke for ages. This is then apparently just a crush, not love. But Allie doesn’t seem to have dated anyone, ever, in the last 10 years. So pining miss heroine has had no life, whilst over protective single father hero has been celibate due to grief. I dislike dead wives having being friends with the new love. It leaves a weird taste in my mouth. Thought there might have actually been some serious interaction/discussion at one point, but it fizzles out with little reality. Read through kindle unlimited.
This is such a sweet story. Luke loved his wife and lost her during the birth of their daughter. It has been a long nine years and he dates no one. His only focus is his daughter and his work. Allie Patrick has secretly loved Luke since they were young. She is his sister’s best friend making her an honorary member of the family. Allie is also his daughter’s school teacher. She takes on helping Luke selling Christmas trees. Luke discovers feelings about Allie that had been missing since the death of his wife. Will the ghost of his past keep them apart?
Allie has been in love with her best friend's older brother, Luke, most of her life. Luke lost his wife nine years ago and has been focused on his daughter ever since. But when his daughter ends up in Allie's class, he starts to spend more time with her. Will Allie finally get the chance she has always dreamed of? Can Luke open his heart again and take a chance on love?
April Murdock has once again delivered an amazingly sweet and engaging story. You will fall in love with her characters and want to move to her small towns!.

I liked this beautiful romance between Luke and Allie in Sweet Bloom, Texas. Luke is a widower with a daughter named Mollie and Allie is Mollie's fourth grade school teacher. Allie had a crush on Luke since they were children but Luke just thought of her as his sister's best friend. After being prodded by his sister and some friends, Luke finally realized what he had been missing. Molly throwing coins in the town square wishing well seemed to help also. The characters are likeable especially Mollie. I recommend this as a clean friends to lovers romance. I purchased this book to participate in a trivia contest and am glad I bought it.
What a sweet story of a second chance love for Luke Duncan. His wife, Shellie, had died nine years ago and he was raising their beautiful daughter, Molly. I liked how Allie Patrickhad loved Luke even before he married her friend Shellie. Allie was also best friends with Luke's sister Pippa so Luke thought of her as his sister's friend and was oblivious to how she had feelings for him. The story was fun and very realistic as Luke realized he had feelings for Allie. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Sweet story with a happy ending. Clean romance with good characters and storyline. Easy and quick read.
Allie has had a crush on Luke since she was little. However he married someone else and had a child. He is now a widower, but hasn't dated. Will he ever be ready? Would he ever notice Allie as more than a friend? They get a little closer when she has his daughter in his class. Can it turn into something more?
Fun and easy read.

Such a sweet story to start off this multi author series. Allie had crushed on Luke for years, then he met her roommate and immediately fell for her. After 10 years all Allie can do is try to overcome her crush, even though he had been a single dad for 9 of those years when his wife had died during childbirth. Allie is the kindest, most patient woman around and Luke is clueless. Then there’s his daughter who loves Miss Patrick, her teacher and would love to have Allie as her bonus mom. Clean.
Allie has been in love with Luke forever bit he doesn't seam to see her. What is a girl to do... follow him to college of course and hope thi gs change. Unfortunately they don't he dates and later marries her roommate putting her on the back burner again. Will she eclver get her opportunity? His wife does in childbirth and he raises their daughter on his own. When they return to their hometown, Molly ends up in Allie's classroom. Will Luke finally notice her? Sweet small town romance.

I’m a sucker for the single dad trope, and it’s nice to have that combined with second chances. It’s a sweet and clean story, with well written characters and a lot of heart. For me it was also a page turner, the plot was good enough that I simply didn’t want to put the book down until the very end....the very end of the second epilogue. Even the author didn’t want the story to end!.

This story is such a sweet one. Just good storytelling with romance and complications. Of course there have to be otherwise the story would only be a short novella! The characters in this story are so fine and the scenes are somehow painted in such words you just see it or can visualize them. That is good storytelling. A fine way with words. So fabulous four stars go to this beautiful story.

This is a heartwarming romance. Luke is a single dad to 9 year old Molly, his wife having died in childbirth. Allie is a long time friend of Luke’s sister and Allie has had a crush on Luke for almost 20 years. This year she happens to be Molly’s teacher as Christmas season approaches she agrees to help him with his new Christmas tree venture but admitting feelings has them both confused. Lots of tropes in this romance and includes some drama. Really enjoyable.
Allie can’t see a future with anyone else while she has a crush on Luke. Luke hasn’t moved on from losing his wife Shellie, who was Allie’s friend and roommate. But he’s started to see his daughter’s teacher Allie in a new light if only can get past the guilt of moving on after his loss. He jerks Allie around a bit with his back and forth and being angry with her any time she brings up Shellie. Allie is great with Molly and goes out of her way to help him with his new venture.
This was a sweet and swoony, second chance romance. It was a joy to read. The heartwarming characters were so relatable in different ways, and the author does a great job allowing you to feel all the emotions. There's just enough conflict and sweet to keep the pages turning and make this a very enjoyable story I didn't want to end.

A Wish for the Single Dad Cowboy is a clean, romantic story. The main characters grew up together. Each had a different view on thier relationship. While Allie hope and dreamed Luke would see her as more than a friend, he moved on to other ends. Years later thier chance arrives, but will he see what is in front of him this time.

Allie has had a crush on Luke since she was in grade school but unfortunately after following him to college she introduced him to her college roommate, Shellie. A made in heaven romance, a young daughter, Molly, and a life ended too soon. Now Allie is Mollie’s teacher and still suffering from a crush on Luke. April Murdock is a master at giving us romance, an interesting story line, humor and a few surprises. I really enjoyed this story.
April has done it again with a heartwarming, single parent romance that captures your heart and your attention. You can't help but fall in love with the characters with every turn of the page. A well written story that's perfect for a weekend curled up with a good book while sitting by a cozy fire in the fireplace.

Allie has loved her best friend’s brother since childhood. She even followed him to college but unfortunately she introduced him to her roommate and he fell in love with her and married her. Now his wife has died in childbirth and he has been raising his daughter for nine years by himself. Molly has started fourth grade in Allies class. Luke has been obviously to Allies feelings until his sister tells him.
A really enjoyable read. Allie has been in love with Luke forever. He is still stuck in the past since the death of his wife. He needs a push, and his sister Pippa is just the person for that. The journey to their HEA has its complications. Molly is adorable. I’m glad there are two epilogues.

really enjoyed this series and all the characters. I loved Luke aI'vend Allie's story. She'd had a crush on her best friends brother for years. He's a widow with a daughter in her classroom. Will be finally see her? Theirs is a heartwarming story that captivated me from the beginning.
