(1) I like how the topic of technology and the supernatural is brought up by the MC when he says he is afraid of cell phones because he never knows what is being connected to the other side.
(2) In the second story, the MC's cousin started working for a professor, but there seemed to be many secrets surrounding her new workplace and the other colleagues in the office seemed to dislike her for no reason. All these secret seemingly were connected with the Japanese fairytale of Miss Melon - a beautiful girl who was born to a childless pair of old couple from a melon (the name sounds weird in English, but it's less so in Japanese and Chinese, I swear).
I really like how secrets, jealousy and the myth of Miss Melon were brought together and I like the explanation of why the other office ladies disliked the MC's cousin so much (Plot Spoiler: they didn't really dislike her).
I once read from other manga that the meaning behind the myth of Miss Melon is that the young girl is actually a human sacrifice in ancient time, her death eventually brought a good harvest to the land.
(3) The mystery of the estranged relatives of the MC's family resurface again in this volume, more things are revealed about said relatives and a shameful secret from the past when again, people are getting into trouble for making deals with powerful yokais, and one the family members was accused of 'accidentally' killing a little girl, I like this part of the story very much too!
(4) I really do like the last story: a young woman who was haunted by a family tragedy from her past, was befriended by an outgoing female schoolmate, then the schoolmate asked the young woman to housesit for her for a week, claiming a family emergency, the young woman agreed only to find her friend's house is in the middle of the mountains and no one in the university seemed to know her friend's existence?
(5) That's a story that I don't like much...
(Plot Spoiler: her friend's entire family was killed years ago in their family cottage, and said friend went missing for all these years and now she might well be a yokai?)
This is a very tricky story and I like the explanation of the mystery behind the young woman's friend and her disappearance so much.
