War of the Worldviews: A Christian Defense Manual

Rate this book
As we travel around the country promoting our new book, War of the Science vs. Spirituality, people are asking about the major points of contention between science (the worldview represented by Leonard Mlodinow) and spirituality (the worldview represented by Deepak Chopra). Do we always disagree or are there some points of agreement? We thought it would be appropriate to summarize the major differences and agreements in a short note. Our book has four major Cosmos, Life, Mind and Brain and God. Depak Chopra,Leonard Mlodinow

Think of Francis Schaeffer's mind and works; DeMar's book is in the same stream. DeMar excels in this volume in making the case for Christianity and the biblical metanarrative via heavily footnoted documentation of false worldviews' claims--whether those false worldviews are atheism/secularism/naturalism/feminism/behaviorism/materialism/Marxism/Darwinism/humanism/existentialism/Buddhism, etc.

If you have a person who is intellectually honest, and you're longing to give them a book they'll actually read, this is a good one.

Well done, DeMar.

Great essays on belief in God while living in the culture of the late 1990s with the pre-eminent ideas of pleasing self, getting ahead, using chemicals to soothe conscience, and easy access to false spiritual ideas of every kind.

Lays a great base for understanding how we got to where we are now, I wish there were another volume to follow this that brought it up to the current times.
