The ongoing adventures of Taggart and his motley crew of family, friends, and on-again, off-again enemies as they try to stop a cataclysmic disaster from befalling the galaxy. Decoy is the sixth book in the Emberling series, an action-packed carnival ride of a space opera that will leave you breathless.
Author Daniel Young certainly had my guts tied twice in a row with Decoy. The first time is when Taggard and company got caught ship and all when the Astral spaceships accomplished the impossible to get their spaceship, Usehiri, captured in some kind of stasis. Surprise! The Astrals want them killed in order to get the Emberling into their hands. The escape and the way it happened was an even bigger but tough surprise. The second gut twister was when the Militia succeeded too in capturing Taggard's spaceship And once again the crew's lives are at risk. At risk or not, Decoy is another action oriented space opera where plenty more is happening too. That is, besides twisting your guts. Enjoy
While trying to return to home base for his brother Tate who is commander of the local protector army, the said Army fires on them not allowing them to return. The temporary commander orders an assault. Now everyone is after them no good guys in the open. The ship and crew need a lot of luck to get out of this mess and district or hide the ultimate weapon. It's A race to see who will get them first, or if they will survive. Cliffhanger. Good read.
