“Make no fucking mistake, little lamb. I’m not saving you. Either the Elder One eats you…or I do.” With Titus’s father dead, we were supposed to leave the Pine Barrens and never look back. But with a cult hunting us through the woods and an ancient evil slowly rising from its slumber…
We’re damned.
Cult rituals, creepy forest spirits and late-night chases through the graveyard are nothing when I have the most dangerous monster in the woods for a stepbrother.
Either way, Titus and I are bound for Hell, so we might as well have some fun on the fall down…
Step Devil 2 is a plot-light, stepbrother demon romance and the second installment in The Bishop Rituals duet. This novella features dark themes not suitable for all audiences. Please check inside the book for the content warning/trigger list.
Aiden Pierce is a writer of dark paranormal romance and erotic horror. Her love stories are on the spooky side and usually end up with the monster or the villain getting the girl. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and their three fur babies. When she's not daydreaming about the characters that live in her head, she can be found curled up on the couch with a black coffee and a dark romance novel.
In the first book, we thought Lore and Titus escape, and left behind all that craziness. This one continues, where the first stopped. Lore and Titus didn't escape…
They had to run for their lives, through the woods, where dangerous creatures hide, and they have only one night to do it. Jersey Devil wakes up on the second night…
They have all the demons after them, but they still have time to have dirty sex. Lore and Titus are obsessed with one another.
A lot of triggers, gore, dirty and pervert sex, cult stuff, sacrifices, so this might not be for everybody.
Titus will protect Lore with his life, but if they get out of there alive, how may be their lives? Titus is half devil, how can they have a normal life?

Paranormal Romance Taboo/Step-Brother Dual POV
❥ Book 2 picks up right where the first book ends. After Ezra’s death Titus and Lorelei plan is to run. Leave town before any of the other demons find them— but more importantly —before The Elder One wakes from his slumber.
❥ Book 2 was definitely action packed, something was always happening. So much spice, thrill and most importantly— a great plot jammed packed into these few pages. At moments, i was like W.T.F. am i reading and i loved every second of it.
▹ “Even if I don’t own your soul yet, we’re connected.” ◃
❥ After giving into his feelings for Lorelei, Titus was different in this book and i enjoyed him more. The change in him was palpable. Completely captivating. Every second spent with Lorelei you could see Titus’s heart opening and growing in size. They found the love they’d been missing since losing their loving parent (Titus’s Mom x Lorelei’s Dad) while also discovery the acceptance they’ve always craved. Beyond the horns, claws, wings, hooves and crazy demon cultists was a beautiful loving story of two damaged souls finding a home.
▹ “YOUR THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS…” ◃
❥ The way Lorelei loves and accepts Titus —My Heart Swoons she just has the healing love that’s perfect for him, love that wraps Titus up like a comforting blanket This was my first ever paranormal read — I’ve Entered My Paranormal Girl Era… and I feel this is the perfect first to get into paranormal reads, at least it was for me.
⤷ ❤︎ RANTS:
❥ I wanted to give Gloria the benefit of the doubt. But she was a shit person and definitely a shit mother!! I get the shock and complete state of horror her mind had to have been in but how do you not trust your daughter? How do you betray your child? She made me sick and she’s definitely got what she deserved in the end! — in my option.
❥ Lorelei was making the dumbest decisions, literally. Putting no thought into her actions. She definitely made things worst!
╰⊰✿ “I’m more in tune with you than I ever wanted to be, Lorelei. I’m aware of every single beat of your heart. Every twitch of your p*#sy as you set your pretty eyes on me. Every sweet breath you breathe. Every tear…They all belong to me now. So don’t let all this human shit bother you. It’s not your concern anymore. It’s mine. They are my burden now.” ✿⊱╮
Step Devil 2 is the second book in the Bishops Ritual duet.
I SEEEERIOUSLY loved this this duet. After that epic cliffhanger from book 1, Titus and Lore are back and maaan is it so good! It is completely action packed and will have you completely at edge of your seat. Plus, you have cults, lore, stepbrother demon, hooot cemetery smexy times, and THE JERSEY DEVIL!!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
Step Devil 2 is the conclusion of Titus and Lore's story. Titus has killed his father and they're on the run. The Jersey Devil and all the other creepy evil surrounding them is after them. But don't worry, Titus and Lore have time to get down and dirty.
When everything comes to a head, will Titus be able to save Lore and himself?
Like the first one, this was spicy and entertaining. It was a little darker than the first and definitely has triggers so it may not be for everyone. However, I had a good time diving into this sinister world and reading how a half-demon/half-human and human get their HEA.
When I read Step Devil, book 1, I wasn’t expecting book 2 to be released until next year. So when I saw book 2 just released I immediately jumped in and read it! I freaking loved the first one, my only complaint was I wanted it to be longer! I loved Lore and Titus. He’s half human, half devil, and 100% monster! Especially when it comes to protecting Lore, he’ll release his true devil to keep her safe. Before Lore all Titus wanted was revenge against his dad for sacrificing his mom, but now he has a reason to live- and that’s Lore. Book 2 picks right up from book 1, Titus is trying to get them out of Bishop before the Jersey Devil is due to rise again. This was really good, a quick read, but I loved seeing Titus and Lore again! I’d love to see another book of them maybe a few years later and see how things turned out for them. But I definitely want more from Bishop!
•paranormal romance •step bro •demon/human •touch her you 💀
“Whatever human emotions are weighing you down—fear, trepidation, whatever the fuck they are—they are not your burden. They’re mine. Because I own your heart, little lamb. And after tonight, I’ll own your soul too.”
Lore is gullible asf and made stupid decisions in this book. BUT accepts Titus for all that he is. Lore and Titus found the love they’ve been missing since losing their loving parent. i loved these two so much. it was a perfect, quick, spicy, beautiful story about two damaged souls finding a home.
so many spicy moments that made me go WTF? HOW TF?
quotes😈🔥
“In the few days I’d known her, she’d become my drug. My reason for living. I needed her like I needed air in my lungs.”
“Out here in the middle of the woods, I am your God. So you make sure all the prayers rolling off that tongue are made out to me.”
“He was choking me with his tongue.” ^^PARDON?
💕“So…what’s it feel like? To own my soul, I mean?” 💙 “It feels like I’m finally home, Lore.”
Not quite as good as the first book. I didn’t love that things kick off because the heroine came down with a case of terminal stupidity. Things picked up once they were on the run, getting creepy and sexy. The pair plays up the big brother, little sister angle nicely. Unfortunately, there is a repeat of stupidity on the part of the female main character when she literally laughs over her shoulder while running towards danger because she thinks she knows better than the person has literally lived in the situation all his life. Things are resolved in an odd but hot as fuck way. 3.5 stars rounded up for cemetery sex that plays right into the fantasies of my goth side.
The Bishop Rituals Duet Book 2: Step Devil 2 Spice : 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Stars : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Characters : Titus & Lore
Firstly I want to say, thank you so much Aiden for letting me read this as an ARC. You are such an amazing talented person! I know release day is going to be amazing!!
This mother fucking book. Has me in a chokehold and I don’t think I’ll be out of this book hangover anytime soon. I got it this morning at 9am and I finished it at 1:30. This book was divine. I cannot tell you have much I fucking loved it. I could not put it down!
Titus motherfucking Leeds , full stepped up this novel and I was dying the whole time, watching him learn to embrace his devil side was hot and, lore and his relationship and character development was pure perfection!
I will say the ending to me was ✨ wholesome ✨ Bahaha I fucking loved it and the way the whole novel played out. I was so gutted when I finished because I wanted more. Aidens writing really grips you in and wraps you around the throat and won’t let go. Sorta like Titus’ demon tongue 😉
You need to read book 1 before this and it’s so fucking worth it!! The smut in this book smuts so hard, it was spicy, hot and just engrossing. When Titus pleases lore he really pleases her 🥵🥵
All I’m gonna say is that cabin scene and the ritual scene . Absolute froth , dirty depraved hotness 🥵🥵🌶️
I read this duet in no time. Not only because it's short but because it grabs you from the first word and hooks you for the long haul. I did not move. Amazing duet by an amazing author. And SO SO SO SO HOT!
This was a great end to the duet. Everything was tied up perfectly! Both books probably could’ve been together in a single novel rather than 2 novellas but it was definitely worth the time reading both.
I was so excited to see that part 2 of the short story duology Step Devil came out. I really enjoyed the first book and this one was even better! It was a quick but steamy read with an excellent plot. It starts off right where book one left us. So of course I HIGHLY recommend reading them both. The story answers so many questions left from book one. Aiden weaves a wonderful tale full of steamy and spicy scenes into a very well written short story. The ending was great. I highly recommend this book! Before reading though this book is dark and twisty so PLEASE check your TWs!!
Oooh this is good. If you like horror/erotica then this is for you. It is the 2nd (and final) book in the Step Devil series so you MUST read no 1 first. Aiden is really clever in the way she carries on from the very last part of book 1. None of that ‘10 months later’ malarky. The story itself is fast paced and in your face but every so on there is a quiet bit where the written language used is just beautiful. The way Aiden describes the despair someone feels as they look out of a bleak window!
P.s. I wanted more tongue action in book 1, and was not disappointed in book 2.
This story continues where book one left off so will definitely want to read that first. This is a really quick read. The storyline is definitely unique how it incorporates the Devil in it. It is dark and gritty. Yet, it pulls you in at the same time. It is extremely well written. It has moments that you can actually feel their emotions as they run through you during your journey into this unique world. It is definitely a great fast paced story with a ton of action that is non-stop. I loved the ending and how fabulous it was. A definite must read.
If you love a little demon loving, then it's time to step back into the Step Devil world and find out what happens to Lorelei and Titus, now that his father is dead. This novella ties their story up quite nicely. It's hot and steamy and the Jersey Devil makes his appearance. A bit of horror mixed with demon love and terror, this is a great one sitting read!
Awesome addition to the series. It answers all the unanswered questions from the first book. This book is way dirtier than the first one. I would check the triggers before reading.
This book is just as twisted as the first one and it definitely rocks! Lore and Titus are amazing , these two are doing their depraved acts while trying to evade the Jersey devil. This duet had all the dark and steamy romance and horror vibes written all over it and I loved every page of it.
Quick, Dark, and Dirty This book moved at a fast pace and kept me on the edge of my seat at times! There was lots of crazy, lots of steam and bit of dark humor. Titus and Lore were the perfect fit for each other. The chemistry and spice between was fire!! What a complete and satisfying read!
I loved book 1 so I was super excited to see MORE! Yay!!!! It’s been a while so I went back and reread book 1. These are super fast reads, and even making it a series, it’s still pretty short.
I really like everything I’ve read from this author but this one was not at the top. I think the smut scenes could be better. They were hot but there could be MORE to them. These always felt rushed, like MC’s couldn’t keep their hands off each other, so when given the opportunity to get it on, it was more “shove, grab, ‘wham-bam-thank you ma’am”. Then they quickly get dressed. BUT they were being chased this entire book sooo…. I guess I should be happy they were able to squeeze in some booty time while running through the woods😂
The plot/ storyline was better in the first book. Getting to know the characters more, I only liked them less. FMC turned into a TSTL- right at the very beginning of book 2. I get where author was coming from. There needed to be a reason to keep these 2 in the Pine Barrens a bit longer. I just didn’t love how that happens, making the entire book is of them running in the woods. Not enough plot and not much jersey devil. The resolve was a bit confusing for me with not much explanation. Basically they meet top baddie, have a conversation, have sex in front of everyone 🥳 and are allowed to leave. Hmmm…. Oh, and he has to carve his name on her. A little anti-climatic but alrighty.
This is the epic conclusion to this twisted duet that I needed in my life. Lore and Titus—Titus especially—go through so much character growth, and they realize they need to make decisions for themselves instead of following what is expected of them (which is relatable af if you’re a people pleaser like me). I absolutely loved the banter and one liners in this book that would have gotten me down on my knees for Titus.
A surprise return visit to Titus and lorel and it was a lot more adventure and adrenaline based!
After Titus fulfill his dream (not as he would have like but the result was the same!) they're just about to make their getaway when lorels soft heart made the error of letting her mum free who then flees screaming thru the streets about them killing his dad.....
They then crashed the van..... There's a two day pursue the forest which is not without so much heart wrenching nightmare creatures chasing them, they members of the cult and ultimately the Elder One.
How would they get out of this one.....?? 😉
It says they won't return to them again like but I guess if like to! The novellas are just the right size for a fun read so if the author can keep it going like that, he's on to a winner!!

Absolutely love the best one. This is the second book and a duet called step devil.😈
It's a forbidden demon monster romance that centers around the Jersey Devil cult. The FMC moves to Jersey with her mother and her step father. But she finds out her new step father is the leader in a cult that worships the Jersey Devil.
Her step brother has plans to unalive his father since he sacrificed his mother and other innocent women to the Jersey Devil.
This is a taboo book and our Fmc falls for her step brother who plans to rescue her from a gruesome fate.
It really pops off in the second book and I'm so happy with how this duet ended.
Tropes: -forbidden -step siblings -on the run -demons -Jersey Devil -escaping a cult -blood play -Virgin FMC -reformed player MMC -ritual -sacrifice -gore -unaliving -anal -wings
My third book by Aiden Peirce! Was very glad to see Titus and Lore’s story have a second instalment. I really wanted to get more into the cult and their sacrifices and after the ending of the first, I wanted to see what would happen after what they did! So to read this it definitely gave it an ending they deserved.
Same as the first book, I loved the description and details that had gone into the writing, the gore involved, the emotion and relationship building between the two. It would be great to see what they do on the outside world now but then I also believe some books should end to leave the epilogue to the readers imagination of how they adjust with the dynamics of the world after what they both endured!
I’m sorry, I enjoyed the first book so much but this book pissed me off! I don’t want to give anything away but Lore was cool until she was the dumbest beach alive! Like I almost quit reading there. It’s only my fierce determination to not dnf books that kept me going. She never redeemed herself and continued to anger me. She did not deserve Titus and Titus didn’t deserve her (because she was soooo stupid!!!).
Ugh I leave this books feeling like I just wasted 2 hours of my life.
I wanted to love this as much as the first but it missed the mark in a lot of ways! The author pushed the plot forward several times by having Lore make reckless or naive decisions that seemed out of character for how she was written in book 1. Also it was odd that the e stakes seemed to be so high and yet it also felt like they were never truly in danger based on how things progressed? Also the ending scene seemed like they were let off too easy. But that being said, I LOVE Titus. I love a bad boy with a soft heart.
