Trey "Tank" Webster leads a dual life. By day, he serves as a dedicated physical therapist. But by night, Tank embraces his dominant nature as a Daddy Dom, teaching classes and engaging in scenes at The Citadel. Haunted by the painful loss of his wife, Tank finds solace in his role as a protector and alpha male. Although he hasn't pursued a serious relationship since his wife's passing, Tank's life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Delilah.
Delilah, a resilient woman in her mid-50s, struggles with the weight of her past. Having experienced her sister's unsolved murder, she finds it difficult to trust others. Despite her cautiousness, Delilah finds herself drawn to The Citadel's age play events, exploring her little side.
When Ethan, Delilah's nephew, takes a courageous step and seeks out his biological father through an online DNA test, his discovery turns both their worlds upside down. As danger looms, Tank steps in to protect Delilah, becoming her Daddy and safeguarding her against the threats. As their relationship deepens, Tank's friends join forces to uncover a shocking truth.
In the midst of unraveling the web of deceit, Tank and Delilah's bond grows stronger. Together, they navigate the complexities of love, trust, and healing, forging a path towards redemption and finding solace in each other's arms.

Tank is a gentle giant; a big growly teddy bear of an alpha protector. Since his late wife passed away, he’s kept his heart locked up tight to protect it, until Delilah makes it beat with emotions he thought buried with his first love. I related so immediately to Delilah with all of her stresses, fears, and anxieties. And, as a woman approaching Delilah’s age bracket, it filled my heart with so much joy to see the special relationship she and Tank were able to build. I loved witnessing Tank and Delilah finding healing through one another’s love, but the political thriller they found themselves embroiled in blew me away. At a time when the news cycle is constantly filled with reports of politicians behaving badly, this book felt all too real. And even though I’ve only just barely finished reading this, I already can’t wait to find out what the author has in store for us next. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
R J Gray and the Veterans of Valhalla are always a go to read for me, but Tank was not a favorite. I loved how they are both dealing with every day issues like moving on from the loss of loved ones or trying to make ends meet. Their physical relationship is what they both wanted and needed and worked for them. I also liked the build up of suspense with Ethan's parentage. However, it was a total let down when it was skipped right over and made me think a chapter was missing from my book.
I absolutely love Tank and the large, protective, growly teddy bear that he is. Him and Delilah have a rollercoster of a story. It combines DDlg age play with suspense, mystery, danger from from thrilling read. I loved the dialogue, trust and chemistry between this couple. It was very easy to root for them.
The story is the eleventh story in the Veterans of Valhalla series—where each book will read well as a standalone. Trey ‘Tank’ Webster is a retired Navy SEAL and runs Elite Wellness and Rehabilitation. Delilah is one of the waitresses at The Rusty Crab, also does secretarial work at The Citadel. Delilah is raising her nephew, Ethan, after his mother was murdered. Tank is one of his coaches.
The story is mystery, suspense, life and death danger, and moving forward in life. Tank has been watching Delilah and even though she is older than him, she stirs up desires in him. He hasn’t been in a relationship since the death of his wife, Jenny. But, maybe it is time to start living again. He likes Ethan and sees how devoted Delilah is to seeing to Ethan’s needs and happiness. But what about her needs—like being a little?
“The past was gone, and it was time he gave himself permission to start living again.”
Delilah finds it hard to believe a man who looked like Tank and could have any woman, would even be interested in her. She is more than a decade older than him, overweight, and showing the signs of her age. But he is a Daddy and knows that she is the little girl he wants.
Tank: How little are you now? Delilah: Five or six, Sir. Tank: That’s a good age. I enjoy taking care of little girls around that age. Delilah: Really, Sir? Tank: Really. I had a little girl once, similar age. I miss it. Maybe we could explore this together if you’re interested. Delilah: Are you sure? Tank: I would have said it if I wasn’t sure, Buttercup. If you’d honor me by trusting me with your little, I’d take good care of you. Delilah: I’m sure I’d enjoy spending more time with you, little or big me. Tank: Good. I think this is the start of something special. Delilah: What about the age difference? Tank: Age is just a number. It’s the connection that matters, and we have that is spades, Buttercup.
The story will have danger that comes calling with threats against Ethan and Delilah. Ethan just wants to know who his Dad is or was. That DNA ancestry test will open a can of worms. Tank will bring Ethan and Delilah to his home on Valhalla, and alert the team to the threats. Rules will be made and precautions put into place. It will evolve to the point that they will add security personnel to stay with each of them throughout their days. But will that be enough? How far will a powerful, evil man be willing to go to protect his own reputation?
The story is two-fold, it is the DDlg relationship between Tank and Delilah and then the threat that looms over Delilah and Ethan. I liked the chemistry between Tank and Delilah and also how they are both there for Ethan. The story is a page-turner with plenty of suspenseful action and adventure. There are scenes of power exchange and explicit intimacy—including DDlg scenes at The Citadel.
“You’re my family. My protector. My Daddy. And my family never gives up.”
Tank is a story you won't want to miss if you enjoy older relationships. This book has a BDSM element as all the books in this series do. The story is a Ddlg story where the man is in a Daddy role to his little girl. So if that is not in your wheelhouse this might not be the book for you. The story is well written with even the econdary characters are vividly portrayed and their role crucial to the story. The loyalty and brotherhood found in their military and kink backgrounds make you feel good about each character. I really enjoyed this book as I have all the rest in the Veterans of Valhalla series.
Tank: He never thought he should find someone else after his wife died he blamed himself because he wasn't there for her. Then in his dreams Jenny came to him and said its time to let go and find someone else and she wad holding a butter cup in her hand. The was proof she approved of Delilah for him. Delilah kept tell him he could do better because the age and how she looked. He said to her that age is just a number and that she is beautiful. It was a wonderful story!
A woman, a little, a guardian, struggling and drowning.
A man, a Daddy, a veteran, still struggling with loss.
This is their story… two people who need each other and found each other. They found each other in time for Tank to protect Delilah and her nephew Ethan.
Tank, along with the other Valhalla brothers once again protect and take care of one of their women and risk it all.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved the background story of Delilah's nephew, and who his biological father was. I thought Tank was super protective, and very loving. I have to admit this whole DDLG thing has me bewildered. I do love a Dom, even calling him Daddy sometimes, but I guess I can't see being that into role play, that they act like a child, then have sex. I know that they are adults, but it's just very confusing.
TANK is Book #11 of RJ Gray's VETERANS OF VALHALLA Series.
While i really liked the Story of Tank and Delilah, and the Way both overcome their respective Loss, somehow this was the first Book in this Series that did not "spark" with me. But: Great Story, even greater Characters.
Each Book in this Series can be read as a Stand-Alone, but for greater Reading-Enjoyment should be read in Order of Release.
RJ Gray is a genius when it comes to highly sensitive topics. She writes with a dignity not often found in the human race. This book was a pilgrimage into a new self-understanding for the characters in this story combined with explosive drama. As a reader of a number of RJ Gray's sagas I am looking at my world and those in it with more grace.
This is a very good, well written, action/adventure, DD/lg romance. The characters are interesting, well developed, and lovable. Delilah is raising her sophomore nephew, whose mother was murdered. Tank is a mentor and coach to the nephew. He lost his first love to cancer and still trying to move on. Read and learn how Delilah and Tank help each other with love.
I loved Tank. I am drawn to the strong protectors that line their women in the curvy side. I also loved the reverse age gap. You don’t see that as much. I’ll be looking up more to read.
RJ Gray, this Tank: A Military Daddy Romance (Veterans of Valhalla Book 11) was thrilling watching a love grow and frightening due to the evil. On to Book 12!!
I am SUCH a diehard fan of RJ Gray's. The writing is by far some of the best you'll ever read. Once you enter the world of Valhalla you won't ever want to end...or at least I didn't want it to.
We finally get to see Tank, who was in so many of the other stories, his own story line. I appreciated he found someone who caught his interest, not obsessed with how she looked,or how he did. He saw Delilah, and saw the beautiful soul she was, not what she presented, or looked like.
Tank has had a hard time letting go of his past life, and for understandable reasons. When you have love in your life, sometimes its hard to think you could ever compete with that again. Delilah gave him pause. Delilah is so bogged down with life and responsibility she can never see past all the commitments. She took over being a parent to her sister, who was murdered son Ethan, and has never looked back. They might not have much in life, and everything she has...she has worked herself for the bone for. She makes sure Ethan has what he needs, no matter the cost.
Delilah might be a bit older than Tank, but in the story I only see it has a hang up she has about herself. I understand why in the world we live in of filters, working out, and surgeries. She feels plain in a world of men in Valhalla that could make paint melt. I felt in this story, it made NO difference. I truly didn't even factor it into the story unless it was brought up.
Delilah finds little time for herself, and enjoys the small amount of time she gets in the world to be a Little, and Tank a fantastic Daddy. Tank really evolves into someone who grows so immensely in this story. He is able to overcome all the loss he has, and see the beauty in Delilah and Ethan. He takes to them before he even thought of having feels for her.
Ethan goes to do some research to find a Dad he never knew about, and certainly is the catalyst in the danger in this story. You see Tank, all his brothers and friends rally when they are in trouble. The sense of community in this book is off the charts.
Join us to dive into this story of Tank and Delilah. You will laugh, cry, and gasp in fear, and lots of steamy spice!!
Trent “Tank” Webster runs the Elite Wellness and Rehabilitation, helping fellow veterans get better. He may be intimidating, but he was gentle and kind and the retired Navy Seal appreciated that he understood them while they got thru their mental and physical struggles. I love his dog Sandy, I wish she was in the book more. Finding out about his late wife Jenny was heartbreaking and I just wanted to hug Tank. Ox was the only one who knew Tank’s wife.
Delilah works as a waitress at the Rusty Crab and when her sister died, she took her nephew in and raised Ethan as her own. At 15, he played on the HS football team and Tank helped Razor coach. Since Del was a little at the Citadel, Jay asked her to do some secretarial work, because he knew money was tight. No one realized just how tight the money is. I love Ethan. He has a good head on his shoulders. Thinking to find out more about his bio dad, he used the money he made mowing for other people to do a DNA test. It hit to someone important and mayhem of epic proportions ensues. Trinity is also a little at the Citadel and is Del’s bestie. Finally, Tank talks Del into being his and someone gets up in Del’s face. OMG I wanted to scratch that evil woman’s eyes out, she made me so angry.
I can’t believe she broke the Citadel’s rules. I saw that whole thing in technicolor in my imagination. It was awesome. Upsetting yes, but what happens next! WHOOOOO.
More mischief and mayhem ensues and things come to a head. I literally threw up there, i got so upset. The characters are real to me. I think this was my fave book. You find out what really happened to Ethan’s mom. The end of the book was awesome, I found myself shadow boxing during the fight scenes. Lol I can’t wait for the next book. Plus, I wanna see some weddings and kids, pretty plz! Lol.

“You’re my family. My protector. My Daddy. And my family never gives up.”
This story is full of mystery, suspense, life and death moments and danger, we see them trying to moving forward in life.! Tank has been watching Delilah and even though she is older than him, she stirs up a hold load of desires in him. He hasn’t been in a relationship since his wife died, But he thinks maybe it is time to start living life and finding love again. We come to find he likes Ethan and sees how devoted Delilah is to him , and attending to Ethan’s needs and happiness. But what about her needs?
On the other hand delilah finds it hard to believe a man who looks like Tank that could have any woman he wants would even slightly be interested in her. She thinks damn I'm more than a decade older than him, overweight, and showing the signs of my age. But he is a Daddy and knows that she is the little girl he wants and needs.
The story was absolutely wonderful to read, i loved the chemistry between Tank and Delilah 🔥 how they both are there for Ethan. The story is a page-turner, I couldn't put it down for a second, it was definitely full of suspenseful action and adventure. The scenes of power exchange and explicit intimacy was 🥵🔥including DDlg scenes at The Citadel. I wasn't disappointed at all with there story and highly recommend it.
Tank was loving, supportive, protective, romantic, and sexy. He was everything Delilah deserved. She was stronger than she believed, hard working, loving, and just what Tank needed in his life. I liked the way they took care of each other.
I loved the way Ox took care of Sophia. I did wonder how The Citadel took care of her after her behavior and admissions. I would have enjoyed more detail on that.
Delilah hurt my heart as she sat at her table feeling hopeless and helpless, not being able to see a way out of her situation. I understood just how she felt. There was light at the end of her tunnel, but she wasn't able to see it.
I felt badly for Ethan and was glad he had both Tank and Delilah to have his back. How could he have possibly known the rock he turned over out of natural curiosity?
I enjoyed this book. There were things that I missed and felt had they been included, the book would have been even more enjoyable. I didn't get to see Tank and Delilah's first date. I felt there was a huge gap between being at Ethan's school and showing up at Patterson's office. It would have been nice to have some detail about Ghost after what happened. I was expecting a reunion scene that wasn't there. At Delilah's house, I am assuming the guys just went to catalogue the repairs that were needed.
There was danger, suspense, mysteries to be uncovered, and eventually some action. There was also romance and a nice amount of heat.
I would have to give this book 3.5 stars, based on what I felt was missing. It was still an enjoyable read, but I was left with questions about what happened.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book received via Booksprout.
A wonderful addition to series, great characters and scenario that will hold you riveted to the story
Delilah is working as a waitress at the Rusty Crab and she is also raising her nephew Ethan and has not told him that his mother was murdered and Tank is one of his coaches. Tank has been watching Delilah she is older that him but is so dedicated to Ethan and he sees how devoted she is to the boy and currently is his sport teacher.
The story is filled with suspense and Tank has been watching Delilah but the mystery behind the death of Ethans mother still remains to be a mystery and Delilah notices that she has learned That Hanks’s wife Jenny had died a few years ago and he realises that life must go on and he has to live his life to the full.
Tank could have any woman he desired and Delilah cannot believe that he would have not have interest in her, and I guarantee that you will love this story it will hold your attention completely. Ethan simply wants to know who his dad is and when danger strikes Tank brings them both to the safety of Valhalla and alerts the team to the treat so they can look after them.
I guarantee that you would love this book and I guarantee that you will be blown away by this story and I guarantee that you will be totally blown away by this story it holds you to the very end and keeps you guessing.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Tank leads a dual life. By day, he is a physical therapist, but by night, he is a Daddy Dom, teaching classes and engaging in scenes at The Citadel. Tank is a widow and the chapters where he talks to Jenny made me cry. Tank is a protector and alpha male. He is my favorite so far in the entire series.
Delilah is in her 50s, weighed down by debt and the unsolved murder of her sister. She goes to The Citadel's age-play events to explore her little side in a safe place.
The story takes an unexpected twist when Ethan, Delilah's nephew, seeks out information about his biological father through an online DNA test. This discovery unleashed danger in their lives. Ms. Gray did a fantastic job writing the action in this book. I was on the edge of my seat a couple of times.
Tank steps in as Delilah and Ethan’s protector. He also becomes Delilah’s Daddy and shields her from the threats that surround them.
Ms. Gray's writing beautifully weaves together elements of romance, suspense, and emotional depth. The chemistry between Tank and Delilah is palpable, and their journey is both heartwarming and captivating. The author also skillfully addresses age differences, showing that love can flourish regardless of numerical age. I normally avoid books where the man is younger than the woman. I’m glad I didn’t avoid this one. It was written perfectly.
Tank is a must-read for fans of mature romance with a touch of suspense. Ms. Gray has delivered another fabulous addition to the Veterans of Valhalla series. Readers who enjoy Kate Oliver and Laylah Roberts will find themselves right at home in this captivating world. Highly recommended for those looking for a love story that transcends age and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end.
This was a definite tear jerker. I loved the suspense part of the story around the senator. Tank's patience and support for Delilah's insecurities is inspiring. Highly recommend!
Delilah is curvy, in her mid 50's, a little and works as a waitress at The Rusty Crab. Her younger sister was murdered ten years ago so she has raised her nephew Ethan since he was five. She works multiple jobs to try to provide for them but is drowning in debt.
Trey "Tank" Webster is a retired Navy SEAL, is widowed and is a doctor of physical therapy at Elite Wellness and Rehabilitation. He is a soft Daddy Dom. He is a mentor and football coach with his friend Razor. He is 13 years younger than Delilah.
After a dream of his wife encouraging him to date, he asks Delilah out. They take their relationship slowly. Her nephew takes a DNA test and finds out he has family on his biological father's side and that his father is still alive. His father is a senator named William Patterson. Ethan tried to contact him and is offered money to go away. Tank does research on the senator and finds out he is corrupt, ruthless and would do anything to protect his reputation and power. Delilah and Ethan move into Tank's home for protection. The senator sends a thug to threaten Ethan and Delilah saying they will be silenced permanently. Ethan gets kidnapped by his father's thugs and brought to his remote property. Tank and the Valhalla team rescue him. They later confront the senator and he is held accountable. Delilah and Tank get their HEA.

I seem to have joined this series at virtually the very end. I was totally engrossed by this story, both with the strength of Delilah, who had not been spared by life, as well as Tank with his endless supply of love and patience as he guided her through their burgeoning relationship. Tank is a Daddy to die for and the way he takes care of Delilah and her nephew Ethan will just make you melt in your boots. I was sorry to see the author skipped their first date, it would have been awesome to see how they interacted on their first outing as a couple. The romance is overshadowed by a looming threat that endangers both Ethan and Delilah, which brings together all of Tank’s brothers in arms to keep them both safe. The suspense climbed and was heading to a great climax – then suddenly it just fizzled. From one chapter to the next, all the action had taken place off-page and I was completely flummoxed. What happened? I was expecting a big finale and although there was a final confrontation, it was all a bit of an anti-climax! I will definitely be going back to try some of the other titles in this series if for no other reason than the romance, which was the best part of this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tank has a heart as huge as the body that gave him his name. A decade after he lost the love of his life, he finds himself asking out Delilah, a waitress at the Rusty Krab and a Little he’s seen playing at the Citadel. He’s been mentoring her nephew, Ethan, who she’s raising, for a couple of years. Delilah, who’s 13 years Tank’s senior, can’t believe he’d want to date her, as he’s a muscled Adonis and she sees herself as fat and old. When Ethan lands in a dangerous situation, it’s up to Tank to save his new family.
I loved that Tank and Delilah dealt with real, everyday problems, like grieving, debt and body image, that they worked on together and individually. The emphasis on mental health was handled really well.
There’s plenty of steam between Daddy and his Buttercup. And of course, with this being a Valhalla book, you get to catch up with your fave vets and their Littles!.
I received a free copy of this book and have chosen to leave a review.
Tank, Book 11 of the Veterans of Valhalla series, features Trey “Tank” Webster and Delilah (no last name given). Delilah, while 13 years older than Tank, is no cougar. She is, in her eyes, a non-descript, frumpy, older woman, and battles with herself throughout most of the book with believing that Tank could love her. In Tank’s eyes, she is beautiful, because he sees the real her, inside and out, and spends the same amount of time convincing her of that fact; a fact which, by the end of the book, finally has Delilah believing in both herself, Tank and their relationship. I found the book to be realistic in its portrayal of this aspect of their relationship. In addition to this, there is the added mystery and suspense regarding her nephew’s biological father and the threat he posed their security. I enjoyed this book; I recommend it.

Tank is book eleven of the Veterans of Valhalla series of interconnected standalones. This might just be my favorite of the series! Tank was pure book boyfriend perfection! He was sweet, dominating, protective and possessive. He is still dealing with the loss of his wife even years later. He knows he is ready to move on but is feeling guilty for it. Delilah is in her mid fifties and raising her teen nephew after the unsolved murder of her sister. She is drowning in debt and in life in general. The connection between Delilah and Tank was so strong that it made me really root for them. I loved that Tank was there for her and her nephew when they were in danger and I loved his love and support for them. I enjoyed the suspense and the way that everyone from Valhalla pulled together through it. This was a quick and enjoyable read and I highly recommend!
Tank is a sweet guy who is still grieving the death of his wife a decade prior. He finally decides to pursue his interest in Delilah who is older than him and also insecure about her weight. Delilah comes as a package with her teenage nephew Ethan who lives with her since the murder of his mother. Once Tank takes the leap, he is all in with both Delilah and Ethan.
There is drama when Ethan gets a genealogy test done and discovers his bio father is a well-known Senator who has a lot more to hide than Ethan. Tank and the guys from Valhalla immediately rally to expose the Senator's misdeeds and keep Ethan and Delilah safe.
As always, Tank and Delilah interact with many of the characters from prior books and a few new characters are introduced. There was a satisfying HEA.

This is an intriguing read about Tank/Trey, Delilah/Buttercup and Ethan. This is a little/daddy dom story between an older women and younger man who has loved and lost. Delilah is raising her nephew, Ethan. She is struggling to keep up while she works at the The Rusty Crab as a waitress. Tank, who tragically lost his high school sweetheart and first love to cancer, is reluctant to get involved in a relationship. He is a mentor to Ethan and helps coach his football team. He is very drawn to Buttercup. When Ethan finds himself of a powerful man who doesn't want to claim him Tank steps up. He will protect them both at all cost. As their relationship grows he is there to protect her and cherish her. This is a good read with danger, mystery, suspense, BDSM, spankings, passion and a good twist.
