Award-winning educator William Sterrett draws from research and interviews with distinguished practitioners to identify the most important issues facing today's school leaders and offer practical, effective strategies to help leaders realize growth in their schools.
I read this book for grad school. There were some good suggestions about school leadership, but they were primarily focused on administrative rather than teacher leadership. A few of the practices offered as examples of good principle leadership lacked appropriate boundaries for today's society, but overall most of the ideas discussed would be beneficial to anyone seeking to improve their leadership role in educational spheres.
This is a great book for administrators and teachers working in the field of education. It gives real situations and solutions in action that have succeeded for other people in similar situations.
