She studied zoology and geology at Bristol University, and has subsequently written or edited more than 200 books for children and adults, many of which aim to explain and explore the natural world and our relationship with it.

It's really a good scientific picture book for different levels in elementary school. I enjoy the colorful pictures that are funny and life-related. Also, I like the guided questions in the book that engage students to think while they are reading.
