When I read this book I could clearly tell that the author’s purpose for writing this book was to inform teens about banking. This book informed me on the history of banking, checking accounts, how banks work, and ATM's and debit cards. This book was really more of an information book instead of a narrative book. The main topic I got from this book was banking. The style that this book was written was a simple informative writing style which was affective when the author changed points. Almost every other page was new chapters making you understand what topic the author is going to talk about on this page. It was written in a clear exposition type of writing. The author used an explanation on each topic to make it clear. My opinion on this book was that it made banking easy and understandable for an average kid. I liked that this book was short and was an easy read. I disliked that this book was a little too easy. I would change the length of this book because it was really small. I have never read anything like this book because it seemed too easy.

The authors main purpose of writing this informational book was to inform the public on how the banking system works and functions. The book is about how to manage your money using a bank account.

The theme of the book is informational. The book tells the reader what would be the best way to handle there money wisely. It also tells about how putting money in a bank can be helpful such as the rate of interest when you enter your money inside of a banking account.

The style of the book Banking Basics is simple informative writing. This method is also effective because the targeted readers usually like short, sweet and simple things which makes everything easier to comprehend when they read this book. The writers opinion is that kids should start to earn how to bank at younger age.
