It was all tell, no show. Nothing immersive or visceral about it. It needed much more maze horror and less cringy erotic attempts.

This book was a mess starting with “blood shooting out from the arterial artery”. That’s just the same word twice. This desperately needed editing. So many typos and things that just didn’t make sense. The plot is flimsy and the spice is boring for being a taboo book.

The Maze is your dark twisted kidnapping psycho steamy tabooish book u must have on your shelf... The way she wrote each character and plot to not give anything away. The twist and turns are perfection.

You will love the characters and hate them for their behavior but it is worth the rollercoaster you will be forced on.

This is the first book of E.R.'s that I have read, and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.

This is a book you definitely want to go in blind with, so I don't want to give any spoilers away.

I would highly recommend this book if you like horror romances, taboo romances, or MMF romances.

nothing phenomenal, but I didn't hate it. I had figured out on my own that bas was the guy that killed her family and kidnapped her when she was 16. how they were getting through some of the traps didn't make a lot of sense to me, and the pov at the beginning of nox kidnapping a girl walking home at night and then len talking about how she should've just stayed home the night before and she wouldnt be in that mess also didn't make any sense considering she had been their captive for the past 4 years. honestly the spicy scene between the brothers early on is what saved it for me. also they were described as twins yet only one of them being kept while the family was rich didn't make sense either

This is my second extreme taboo and incest book I've read and both of them was this authors.
So brace yourself, this isn't your flowers and chocolates love story.
What I loved about the book was how the author sucks you in instantly from the first word. It was written so well, you could imagine actually being there. Then there are the characters, they're so evil yet the author has managed to make us connect with them so easily and enjoy their depraved thoughts and actions.
This is horror as in Saw (movie) kind of way with Erotic scenes.
The maze was filled with booby traps and it's impossible to get out alive. Except both sadistic brothers have someone in that group of women , that may just beat them at their game.
I don't want to give much away, all of the characters are broken beyond repair, so expect very depraved thoughts and actions.
13 Women go in, how many will make it out alive and their freedom?
Please read Trigger Warnings as there is very touchy subjects. Be prepared for omg, shock, gore, wow that's messed up, M/M scenes, M/M/F scenes and a wonderful epilogue. Even the devil craves forever.

I went into this book completely blind and I'm honestly glad I did. It made for fun surprises along the way. I wish there was more between certain scenes. It felt incomplete, just for a sprinkle of smut. I love a good taboo book, but it felt more thrown in just so it could be listed as one. The book as a whole had a rushed feel to it and almost like scenes were put in there just for the sake of being able to list it as a TW instead of it fitting into the story. It felt like two books were combined into one. The first half was one book and the last bit was different. Both were great ideas, but I'd rather them be separate or at least make sense all throughout the book.

Wow, your writing just keeps getting better, and better. I had started reading your work with Change for me and somehow, you keep lulling me in with your magic.

This was horror, survival mode and suspense packed in one. There's MM pairing action, taboo relationship between the MMCs and the depravity of the three characters sells it all. Half of the time, I didn't know if I wanted to be horny or bite off all of my nails in support of the FMC.

I don’t even know what to say expect wow! From chapter one I was instantly sucked in and hooked.

The suspense I felt through this novella was pure genius. There were times I couldn’t stop shaking due to suspense, couldn’t help screaming at some of the characters, and rooting for others.

I love when an author can capture my interest in the first couple chapters and keep it the whole book! Let’s not forget to mention the mind blowing twist and turns in this book!

Now the spice! Oh my goodness it is so wrong but so right! The author does a good job and letting you know all the trigger warnings, but for a horror erotica novella I couldn’t have asked for better!

I loved everything about this book and will definitely be looking forward to more books from E.R. Hendricks!

!!!!!!Check Trigger Warnings!!!!!!! Now with that being said this book was out of my comfort zone but I could not put it down. If it had not been for work, I would have read the whole thing in one sitting. This was a suspenseful and captivating read. A group of girls are kidnapped for the pleasure of two boys, but not in the way you would think. For the girls to gain their freedom they have to play a game. But is it a fair game and are all the girls on the up and up? The brothers have picked their favorite and hope she makes it through all the games. But will they give her or any of the girls their freedom for real? What happens when one girl makes it past everything? Will she join them or will she gain her freedom?

I loved the concept of this, with the whole maze/ mind puzzle idea, i was really excited at first. The plot started off really well and then got a bit lost/flimpsy/disorganised once all the other victims got killed off.... then it just turned into a threesome for the last few chapters. There wasn't really a good ending either. Bit disappointed with this one tbh.
I think the plot needed to be alot longer than it was, the story also needed a bitnof editing tbh and a better back story to the main characters would of been good.
Not bad for a quick read but not my top fav read.

This book was so freaking good. The incest part really bothered me, which is the only reason I docked a star. The plot itself, was phenomenal. The idea of a deadly maze is not a new concept but E. R. Hendricks did a beautiful job of executing it that didn’t seem like the others. I was seriously rooting for Lenah and the plot twist at the end really caught me off guard. I read this in an hour because I didn’t want to stop. I definitely am interested in more work from Hendricks!

Okayyyyy so i saw this floating around on some readers “one of the most fu*ked up books i’ve read” lists - or “wtf did i just read” lists & i knew the challenge was accepted. And let me tell you, this one was a wild ride. This was giving Saw vibes, big time. So if you’re into horror, you’ll probably like this! Also - super taboo, so check your triggers! And i will say, there were tons of grammatical errors and misspellings and it was kind of just all over the place, but still a crazy read!

We have our FMC, Lenah, who’s been kidnapped by psycho twin brothers Nox & Basien and put into their torture maze to try to escape. When she wakes up, groggy, in the maze with 12 other girls who look exactly like her, her mind immediately starts turning. So the girls stick together to try to get out of this torture maze, one puzzle at a time - but the twins don’t make it easy for them in the least. And with the girls dropping like flies, Lenah tries her hardest to keep as many as she can alive.. but as they get to the halfway mark, some secrets seem to be seeping out.. and there appears to be a traitor amongst the girls. Will Lenah escape the maze and earn her freedom? Or as one of the last standing FMCs, will the twins fixate on her until she has nothing left to give? And also, is anything really as it seems? 👀

Imagine Saw x Dark Romance had a deeply unhinged baby you will get a pretty good idea of what you are walking into here.

just when you think you know where it is going E.R Hendricks completely flips the script….
Some bits feel rushed but this is novella length not a full blown novel so I can overlook. We get enough background but not in depth once again it is only 165 pages and it didn’t bother me. Will be adding to my Halloween rereads. 🤌🏻

A short but really entertaining erotic horror novella that unexpectedly turned into M/M, which was actually a nice surprise for me. I went into this without really knowing anything about the story, so I definitely wasn't expecting it.

I also wasn't expecting the random Dutch sentences throughout the book. As a Dutch reader, that's always fun to come across!

As someone who grew up loving the SAW movies, this book actually felt weirdly nostalgic to me. SAW was one of the first horror movies I ever watched, and reading this almost made me feel like I was that 14-year-old teenager again discovering just how fucked up horror could be. 😂 Obviously this is an adult horror book though, so definitely not something I'd recommend to my 14-year-old self.

I did somewhat see the plot twist coming, but let's be fair, after reading more than 200 books you start getting pretty good at picking up on certain clues. It didn't take away from the suspense for me though and I still really enjoyed seeing how everything would play out.

Overall, a fun, quick and very gory little novella. If you love horror, gore and don't mind things getting a little fucked up, this is definitely a fun one to pick up!

The Maze is short, twisted, completely unhinged, and somehow managed to surprise me more than once despite being barely over 100 pages. I went into this knowing almost nothing, and I honestly think that’s the best way to read it. Don’t go digging through reviews looking for plot details. Just know it’s dark, taboo as hell, violent, filthy, and absolutely not interested in behaving itself.
My biggest complaint is actually that I wanted more. The story introduces some interesting characters and dynamics, but because it’s so short, there isn’t enough time to fully explore them. I would’ve loved another 100+ pages to let everything develop instead of moving quite so quickly.
Still, I had a ridiculous amount of fun reading it. There were twists I didn’t see coming, moments that had me staring at my screen like EXCUSE ME?!, and enough depravity to make me question the author’s search history. 😂
Definitely check the trigger warnings before jumping in because this book goes places. If extremely dark and taboo romance/ horror erotica is your thing, though, this was one hell of a quick ride.

Once again this author has wrote another book that I have loved!! I love me some f*cked up and twisted dark romance and this was definitely one.

Nox was following Lenah because he was picking another girl who was going to go into his Maze. Little did Lenah know she was going to come to and he with other girls trying to survive this Maze alongside them.

Nox and Basien are watching these girls try to survive and make it through this Maze to see who is going to win their freedom. They are twisted and messed up because them watching these girls get hurts turns them on.

The twist towards the end I was not expecting that!!! But holy shit did I love this book and the dark and messed up sex they had 🥵 it definitely had me questioning what kind of things turn me on

This was a short but action packed little read. I haven't tried any books by E.R. Hendricks before but l added a few more to my TBR. I didn't know how l'd feel about this book but I liked it! The FMC was definitely one of the best parts. She was vulnerable to a point but also equally badass. Her connection with Bas and Nox wasn't the average kind but that's the fun part. I got sucked in more the longer I read. The amount of backstory and action squished into under 120 pages was wild but well executed. I'm excited to try more books.

What the hell did I just read and why did I like it so much? This was a erotica horror story. Was there romance? Kinda 😅. Was there Stockholm Sydrome? Oh yes 😈. Was there blood and gore? Double check 🩸. This was a short novella but it packed a punch and had a great twist at the end. I do think this has an HEA in a twisted way. The spice and taboo nature of this book was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I loved a good taboo story with MM. This is a MMF book.

A bunch of girls wake up in a room only to be thrown into The Maze. Only one will survive to win their freedom. Or will they? This is like Saw meets the Hunger Games. The two running the show are twin brothers 😏 who get off on all the gore and each other 🫣. I loved the twist at the end. Clearly something is very wrong with me because I loved the twins 😅😅. I will definitely be checking out more from this author. 🖤☠️🩸😈.

I went into The Maze expecting a survival game full of puzzles and ended up completely obsessed with the characters. Every chapter left me with more questions than answers, and slowly putting all the pieces together was such a fun experience. Some twists genuinely shocked me, while others gave me the satisfaction of realizing my theories had been right all along.
The atmosphere felt like Saw meets Maze Runner, but what truly hooked me were the twisted dynamics, psychological manipulation, and completely unhinged characters (apparently my literary weakness). I finished this book questioning my sanity for rooting for certain people, but I regret absolutely nothing.
Chaotic, disturbing, addictive, and impossible to put down.

I am loving the twisted and dark mind of E.R. Hendricks. I don’t know where she comes up with her ideas for the stories she writes but I hope she never stops.

If you don’t have triggers, I would advise to jump into this gory and steamy little gem blindly. It has a FMC that is just as crazy, if not crazier, as the two MMCs. I loved how this story unfolded, with the unexpected twists and the backstory of the FMC.

I had to read this twice to absorb the madness within the pages and can see myself reading it again in the future. The Maze turned out to be one of my favorites (so far) that I have read by this talented author and I look forward to reading more of her works.

Say less… this story had so many twists, turns and gory details I was trapped inside the minds of the MCs.
This was dark in every sense so don’t be surprised when you come join something you weren’t expecting.
The FMC is not what you expect at all by the end then when you first meet her and the twin in twin action was 🔥🥵😈 they were something to behold.
The descriptors of the events happening are so well detailed it’s like your watching with your own eyes.
