We've read this before, but it's been a while, and today my 5 yr old son picked it as one of his daily reads. Still as silly as ever, Spongebob never fails to capture the heart of my son, and so encourages him to read. The story is typical Spongebob, which makes it all the better to my son. No lesson here, except good practice for reading with a solid level 2 reading book.

I am not a fan of Spongebob Squarepants whatsoever, but my nephew took out this book from the school library and wanted to read it tonight. We took turns reading each page and I was proud when he easily read big words such as helicopters, managers, and success without sounding them out!

Spongebob has been called in to solve the trouble at his favorite place. He is lauded by Mr. Krabs an the press as he goes in to help customer Phil figure out why there's something missing from his krabby patty!

Kids will love solving the mystery along with Spongebob as this is a quick, fun book for them to read. My nephew is 9 and had no trouble reading it or following the story.

He also enjoyed the illustrations and refused to call Spongebob Spongebob after he saw Squidward.

EVERYONE was Squidward.

...I'm pretty sure that Squidward is his favorite character.
