Fans of Martina Cole and Kimberley Chambers are in for a treat with this absolutely heart-stopping, gripping gangland crime thriller from bestselling author Emma Tallon.

Scarlet Drew has one never back down. But when an anonymous letter turns up at her house telling her they know what really happened the night her cousin Ruby died, Scarlet’s heart races. If they know what happened to Ruby, then they know that Scarlet was there – a secret she has kept guarded from the rest of her notorious family, and for good reason.

Her aunt Lily is the formidable boss of one of London’s biggest crime firms and if she discovers the truth about Ruby’s death, Scarlet knows she’ll be cast out of the family for good. Or worse, if her cousin Cillian finds out, he’ll hunt her down and kill her with his bare hands…

Unaware of Scarlet’s dangerous situation, Lily and Cillian move forward with a plan to execute their most daring heist yet. But with big reward comes unthinkable danger and they need everyone’s full focus on the job, if they’re to pull it off.

So failure is not an option for Scarlet – if she’s to stay alive and on top, she must find out who wrote the note, but time is running out. As she closes in on her nemesis, she’s shocked to discover that it’s someone she’s trusted her whole life. Loyalty means everything to Scarlet, and this is a betrayal like no other. One thing is this is her most dangerous enemy yet, and as time runs out, Scarlet knows it’s either her life or theirs…

This is book 6 in the Drew family series. This is a series which I have found to be captivating and enjoyed reading from the start. If gang – crime interests you, this is one series you must read!

It is a year since Ruby’s death, and her brothers Cillian & Connor, mother Lily, cousin Scarlet and Scarlet’s mother Cath are all trying to move on. The family is planning a heist and a rich lady – Tabitha Grey is the target. At the same time, another gang led by Mani Ramano is out to get the Drew family. Scarlet gets some notes indicating that unless she pays, the secrets she has kept from the family will be told to them. If this happens, Scarlet fears she may have to run. Scarlet is dating Benny, after John moves away from the city, because of Ruby’s doings, as she tries to get at Scarlet. Ray has some suggestions for the family, which Lily resists.

As has been the case in the previous books, this one introduces plot elements based on previous happenings (Ruby’s death) as well as new ones (planned heist, gang rivalry) and a hint of a new sub-plot for the next book (based on Ray’s suggestion for the gang). Of these sub-plots, two are resolved in the book and you can expect the remaining one to resolve as well as the suggested one to develop in the next book. I initially thought this might be the last book in the series, but clearly there has to be at least one more. I liked how this book introduces some ambitious options for Cillian and Connor. This is probably the only book in the series, where they share equal prominence to Scarlet. I felt some of the plot elements could have been better. But with well-developed characters and excellent writing, this is a great new book in the series. There are a few incidents with bad violence.

My rating: 4.5 / 5.

The Drew Family #6

When an anonymous letter turns up at Scarlet Drew's house telling her they know what really happened the night her cousin Ruby died, Scarlet's heart races. If they know what happened to Ruby, then they know that Scarlet was there - a secret she has kept guarded from the rest of her notorious family, and for good reason. Her aunt Lily is the formidable boos of one of London's biggest crime firms, and if she discovers the truth behind Ruby's death, Scarlet knows she will be cast out of the family for good. Or worse, if her cousin Cillian finds out, he'll hunt her down and kill her with his bare hands.

The series just gets better and better with each new book. After receiving an anonymous letter about her cousin Ruby's death, Scarlet needs to quickly find out who is behind the letters. There are also a few surprises along the way in this well written and twist filled read. I was quickly pulled into the story The characters are strong and well developed. I don't want to say too much about the plotline as I don't want to give anything away. This is a gripping read and once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down again.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #EmmaTallon for my ARC of #HerEnemy in exchange for an honest review.

Her Enemy is book six in the additive series.
It is the years anniversary of Ruby’s death, and the Drew family are still trying to get over her death. But if the family knew Scarlett’s part in it, the family would disown her, and Cillian would definitely kill her. So, when Scarlet receives a note saying that they know what she did the night Ruby died. Scarlett thinks that her whole world is about to come crashing down. Who is trying to blackmail her and what do they want out of it.
Ms Tallon has done it again with ‘Her Enemy’. This is another riveting read regarding the Drew family and their exploits. Which I loved with it twists ant turns. I couldn’t put this down. I would advise that this isn’t read as a standalone as there are references to the last book at the start of the book. But I enjoyed this immensely. I can’t wait for the next book. 5 stars from me.

I adore this series.
If you like gangland crime books, this series is a must read.
There is plenty of drama, it reads like a soap opera! You always know you'll get a gripping and exciting read with the Drew family.
Emma has crafted a family with great characters. I think you could read as a standalone but why would you deprive yourself of this amazing story?

Love this series, characters, storylines, authors writing and delivery and for me it is a pretty perfect day of reading when a new addition arrives
So we are in Book 6, the favourites are back and I think I have said before it is like reuniting with good friends the minute I start the first chapter, I’m old 😎 and my memory can sometimes forget a main characters name as soon as finish a book but with this family I am back with them instantly….and ready for the new adventure….and as always what an adventure we went on
I cant say much more about it tbh other than it’s pure enjoyment reading, flawless imo…..roll on Book 7
It was interesting to read the authors notes at the end of the book and how she struggled with this book, I want to reassure her it was as captivating as always

Scarlet Drew had been doing well in her role as second to her aunt Lily in their crime family. However, the death of Lily’s daughter Ruby (a true thorn in Scarlet’s side) has left the family shaken. Scarlet feels she no longer has the trust of her aunt. Meanwhile, although Scarlet has a new love in her life, her feelings for her previous lover have never left her heart.

But, that is only the tip of the iceberg. Cillian, Lily’s son and twin brother to Conner, is about to play a very dangerous game for the benefit of the family. As if tensions weren’t already high, the family is being betrayed, most notably Scarlet, and she comes up with a plan to set matters straight.

What a tense ride! This thrilling book, the sixth book in a stellar series, was utterly compelling and was an exciting one-sitting read.

Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

Another brilliant book in this addictive gangland crime series.
It was great to catch up with the Drew family and as usual there’s more than a few problems for them to deal with.
Scarlet receives a note saying that someone knows what happened ‘that night’ and is terrified that Lily and her cousins will find out she was there the night that Ruby died.
Lily, Cillian and Connor notice that Scarlet is preoccupied but it’s not until Connor starts following her, that they get close.
Cillian has his hands full trying to sweet talk a woman in order to pull off a theft and Billie is far from happy about it.
There’s a few surprises in store in this book and it’s another gripping read that I’d highly recommend.
I can’t wait to find out what’s next for the Drew family.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

This is book 6 in The Drew Family series. I have not read any of the previous books which I think made me feel a bit lost while reading Her Enemy. I did enjoy reading Her Enemy but am now anxious to read the previous books.
With that said, the characters seem well developed.
The gang-crime aspect was a new one to me as I haven’t read many books with this type of plot.
Her Enemy definitely takes you on a intriguing ride!
Many thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Jumped out of book 5 and right into book 6. I could happily read this series everyday if the author would just stop having a life and write more for me. Superb, absolutely superb.
I have read and enjoyed every book by this author. Amma Tallon is a very talented writer and gives us the readers exactly what we want. A gripping, thrilling read that you find difficult to put down. superb strong characters with enough going on that you become totally enthralled in it all.

The Drew family series is one of those series that you just can't wait for the next instalment. These books would make some great tv viewing that's for sure.

Following a family death, things seem a little strained in the Drew family. A rift seems to be developing. An old love shows his face and changes some of the family plans. Secrets are revealed and this could just be too much for the family.
Superbly written absolutely gripping read. I couldn't turn the pages quick enough. yet typically didn't want the book to end.

An extremely talented writer whose books you should not miss.

Absolutely brilliant! No spoilers but superbly executed! There is so much scope for the next installment.
Scarlet it would appear she’s dropped the ball in her gangland game. She is not as focused, jumpy, making mistakes. Her twin cousins notice this too. The truth she is being blackmailed regarding her role in the demise of Ruby.
Like the introduction of the new live interest for Scarlett to !
Loved this book thank you

Her Enemy is the sixth book in the Drew family gangland crime series. Honestly this series keeps getting better and better. As soon as I started reading this one I just felt I was back amongst friends. Since I’ve read this series from the start I have grown to love the characters, shady and all as some of them are. This is one of those books you will not want to put down once you start it. It can be read as a standalone but I strongly recommend reading the rest in the series as they are all superb reads . Now I have to wait ‘patiently’ for book 7. 5⭐️

𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪

While Her Enemy is book six in the Drew Family series, it is the first from that series I have read, and found that it works perfectly well as a standalone novel. I was a huge fan of the Tyler Family series and had high expectations on my introduction to the Drew Family in gangland London. I was not disappointed!

As usual, the author gives the reader exactly what they want. I found the book to be filled with drama, suspense, twists, and even a little anxiety (for me that is). This roller coaster almost turned the pages (well, Kindle page swipes) itself. I was hooked within a few pages and felt it deserved to be read in one sitting.

Scarlet is a powerful, no-nonsense woman who does not mess around to achieve her aims. This new dilemma puts her resolve to the test. She’s a likeable character for whom I found myself empathising. Sometimes the protagonists can be a little too perfect or invulnerable, but Scarlet shows she’s human, flawed, and with emotions that felt credible.

Overall, I loved this introduction to the Drew Family so much that before I had finished, I had already bought the other books in the series. This is everything I want in a crime novel and I recommend it to any readers of modern crime, gangland, or family thrillers, albeit with the caveat that you would be best served by reading the books in order for better backstory and context. I gave Her Enemy, by Emma Tallon, five stars.

I absolutely love the Drew series every book has been fast paced, exciting, a rollercoaster of crime and an insight to life on the wrong side of the law, and Her enemy was no different. I enjoyed every single word I read of it.

Scarlet thinks she has put the recent events of her cousin Rubys death behind her, and although she is keeping a secret of that nights events from her family it’s been over a year since Ruby died and the police wrote it off as an accident. But one morning when Scarlet heads to her car she sees a rolled up note on her windscreen. Someone claiming they know exactly what happened the night Ruby died, and they are determined to bring scarlet down unless she gives them exactly what they want.

Scarlet knows she has to find out who is behind the blackmailing and tries to handle the situation on her own as well as staying focused on one of the biggest crime jobs her family has ever taken on. In scarlets line of work being distracted and not on the ball isn’t an option. For scarlet it’s a race against time to find out who is behind these notes as if her family find out she was there or had any part in her cousins death she knows she will end up paying with her life.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for an advance copy of this book in exchange for this review. As said above this is a brilliant series, all of these books could be read as a stand alone but if definitely recommend going back to the first book as you will get so much more enjoyment out of them if you read the series right from the start.

Her Enemy by Emma Tallon is the sixth book in the brilliant The Drew Family Series and I have loved this series from the very first book called Her Revenge. This series is totally unputdownable and a gripping gangland crime thriller that will have you gripped from the very first few pages especially as it's full of twists and turns, with great characters and great story lines about a family called The Drews. The main characters are Scarlet, Aunt Lilly and her two sons.
It's now a year of anniversary of Ruby’s death, and the Drew family are still trying to get over her death. Scarlet Drew has never backed down and she will never back down, even as she receives an
anonymous letter that is delivered to her house telling her they know what really happened the night her cousin Ruby died. Scarlet’s heart races and she starts to panic!

Who saw what happened on that night Ruby died?

and How? Scarlet thought she was all alone just her and Ruby!?

It's a secret she has kept guarded from the rest of her notorious family, and for good reason. If they ever found out it would be the last of Scarlet and her family!!!!

But Who saw her?

WoW, This book was so good I found it hard to put it down!

Emma Tallon's books have all been a 5 star read and this one was no different. It was Superb!

Looking forward for the next book within this series and I highly recommend all of these books.

This is book #6 in the Drew family series. It could be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading these in series order for better understanding of the storylines. We are back with the Drew family and Scarlet is still trying to deal with her guilt over the death of her cousin Ruby. There are other pressing matters though with the family and a job involving Tabitha Gray, a rich woman with an impressive art and jewel collection!

I've really enjoyed this series and have followed Scarlet's storyline with anticipation, wondering whether the truth about Ruby will ever come to light. She thought only her and Chain knew about what really happened, but on the anniversary of Ruby's death Scarlet receives a note making it clear that someone else was there! The storyline held my attention throughout and kept me wondering as to who that person might be. I was also really caught up in the other storyline running alongside of the job that the family were next planning and enjoyed watching Cillian reluctantly pursue Tabitha Gray.

There are lots of twists and surprises within this latest story, some which left me open mouthed! I like Scarlet's character and have enjoyed watching her go from a strong, powerful, confident woman to someone who's losing a grip on her life. Can she pull it back and become again the woman who others would hide from? The author has given us another strong book, with lots of page turning chapters and unanswered questions for what I hope will be another book in the series.

It was that time of the year again: me being able to read a book by this fantastic author. Even before I open the book, I know I will be in for a treat. Each and everything she delivers top-notch gangland stories that are finger licking good!

If you like strong characters who don't shy away from a bit of violence, a pack of lies and betrayal, than you should run to your bookstore and buy the book or even better the whole series, because you will be hooked, just as I am.

Don't get me wrong. Gangland is not all about bad things and criminals. Oh no, no, no, no. There is strong family love and you can take the word family in it's broadest form. Once you are part of the family, they will close ranks and protect them all.

I sometimes wonder how many times a reader's heart can be broken reading 1 book? Well, the author made me gasp more than once.c

If I have to pick a favorite character in this story, it has to be Connor without a doubt.

After having read one of this author's books, I always have to take a few hours break before I can start a next book because the stories are always so intense. I love them and the countdown has started again. I hope to meet you again soon, Drew family. 5 of the biggest possible stars.

Thank you

Another amazing read (Contains spoilers)

I am a little gutted Scarlet didn't get even a little bit of a comeuppance. I liked Ruby. I know she was written to be a bad un from the off but she had gumption and grit. She tried her hardest and still fell short of her perfect cousin. I think most of us have that "perfect cousin" and if you dont, then it's you.
Lily gets on my nerves a bit too. She is too immovable, too stubborn. She is supposed to love Ray with all her being yet she gives him nothing. He gives her the world, loyalty, trust, every single freedom and now wants their sons to have the world but she hands him nothing but distrust and contempt back. it's been frustrating to read. Still, I hope Connor runs with his plan, I hope Scarlet sees a little bit of reprisals for her actions, I hope Cath, a woman my age will stop being portrayed as a 60 year old and goes out and gets some, I hope Gillian and Billie have a happy marriage and finally, I hope Lily chills the eff out.

One year on from the dramatic and tragic events of the last book. Scarlet troubled by her cousin Ruby’s death and the loss of her boyfriend who is hidden abroad. Now she is being blackmailed and needs to find out who is threatening to expose her...
Her Enemy is the 6th book in the Drew family series of gangland thrillers.
Events from the last book loom over the characters so I would advise reading the books in order. Scarlet would be in very real danger from the rest of her family if they suspected her of involvement in her cousin's Ruby's death.
Meanwhile Lil and her boys are planning a heist. But it gets increasingly complicated and their plans go awry leading to drama and danger.
There is plenty of threat and violence as you would expect from the genre. The strength of family love balances the murky gang elements and shows the depth and softer side to the main characters.
Her Enemy is another excellent piece of the Drew family jigsaw.

BOOKWORMS Review: This is book #6 in the Drew Series by Emma Tallon. I actually didn't know this when I signed up,but it can be read as a standalone too...but me being me went back and flicked through the first 2 to get a feel for the characters (a who's who)as I get confused with lots of names in a book. This was a great thriller I have to say..and a very popular series I believe. Scarlet is a member of the notorious London based crime family The Drews. Scarlets cousin Ruby died over a year ago,and she knows more about that night than she has let on. Now she's being blackmailed, when someone leaves a letter saying as much. If her family find out her part, she'll be,at best exiled from the family and at worst exiled from this world! An exciting read. With thanks to Bookouture NetGalley and @emma Tallon for an arc ro read and review.

This is the sixth book in the Drew Family saga. The main family members are Lily who is the head of the firm, followed by Connor and Cillian, the twins. Then cousins Ruby and Scarlet. On the peripheral are Cath who is Scarlet's mum and Ray would give up his life for Lily is another tolerated gangland leader.

The twins are looking at stealing diamonds from a wealthy woman. With Cillian romancing and leading her on much to the disgust of his long-term girlfriend Billie.

Phew, what a story, I was so tensed up every time I picked it up that my shoulders ached. I thought reading was relaxing. This series gets better and better the deeper you get into it.
Emma Tallon has played a blinder with this series. With brilliant characters and a strong storyline.

I love the Drew Family Series and all there gangland antics. I can’t turn the pages fast enough and this one is no exception. Definitely need to start this series from the beginning just to get the full backstory and really get to know The Drew’s. There is always a few problems and ‘jobs’ they have to contend with that throw up their own problems. You are totally sucked into every details and get the front row experience of how ‘the life’ works. Yet again I’m left wanting and waiting not so patiently for the next instalment. Please Emma Tallon don’t leave me hanging too long 🙏.

An excellent gangster thriller, the latest in the Drew family saga and a very addictive read. The developing characterisation just draws you in from the first page and it continues right to the twist on the last page. Scarlet is one tough lady and she is up against a blackmailer who is trying to bring her down. There are a few surprising twists and a fast rollercoaster pace which keeps up to the last page. The author has another winner and I highly recommend the series. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC

Another brilliant read from Emma. Scarlet is struggling after losing John from her life and the death of her cousin Ruby. After receiving an anonymous letter her mind is definitely not on the job and the rest of the family start to notice. Aunt Lily isn’t impressed and has a go at her making her feel even worse. If that’s not enough Scarlet is convinced someone is following her too. With her life falling apart will Scarlet be able to get her head back in the game. Lots of twists in an unputdownable read.

This series keeps getting better and better.
Scarlet is getting letters and blackmailed that they know what happened to Ruby the night she died. Her Aunt Lily is head of one of the biggest crime families and Scarlet never told her the truth about Ruby's death and is afraid Lily won't believe her.
While that is going on the family is trying to pull off a big heist.
The family dynamics in this keeps sucking me in and how they all stick up for each other is how a family should be.

This is book 6 in the Drew Family series. The Drew Family is a mom family that is into many illegal activities. Scarlet Drew is being threatened about what happened to her cousin, many years ago. Scarlet will do anything to prevent her Aunt Lily, Head of the crime family, from finding out that Scarlet was there the night Ruby died. In the midst of planning a daring robbery Scarlet finds help from a very unlikely source. This is the first book I've read in the series and it's hard to feel compassion for criminals.

I counted down this release since the last one - in December of 2022. This one did not disappoint - though I found the stalker a little predictable.
It has been a year since Ruby's tragic death. Scarlet still carries the guilt - secrets shared with Chain and a detective. Ray is pushing harder than ever for Connor to join his form, to lead after Ray steps down.
The suspense was fantastic - I am obsessed with this family.
Great read!

The family are planning their next job, which involves a very rich older lady.. can they pull it off? I was on the edge of my seat, i kept saying " just one more chapter" before i knew it. I had finished it. I love the characters and how they gel as a family. Hard people with soft hearts, highly recommend

Even though this is book 6, the storyline still grips you and can’t wait to start reading these books. I thought this may be the last in the series but with that ending …… don’t you dare finish it here Emma 🤭🤣.

My heart sank at the beginning as I thought oh no this is the last book and what a great one to end the series, Ruby is still managing to cause trouble for Scarlet from beyond her grave but Scarlet manages to avoid a huge secret being revealed , it certainly kept my attention from page one and I’m glad to say that there will be at least one more book. As usual Emma Tallon has given her readers another five star plus read
