His afterlife is perfect. But things are about to change.Jesus Christ enjoys choice tee times, biweekly psychoanalysis, and a spot atop the afterlife’s Ten Best-Dressed List. But God is coming and no one knows why, least of all his biblical son. Determined to stake his claim as King of Kings before Dad arrives, Jesus begs Lucifer to return him to earth as a mortal man of exquisite style and impeccable taste.Duped by Lucifer and crucified by the media, Jesus must overcome an angel-winged supermodel, two thousand years of pent-up desires, and an all-powerful, paternity-denying Father determined to eliminate religion from existence. But when you’re trying to change the mind of the universe incarnate, turning the other cheek isn’t an option.Into Temptation is T. E. Whitaker’s irreverent father-son tale of biblical proportions. If you like laughing at religion, if you think the answer to the ultimate question of life is 42, or if you’ve pondered what Jesus and Mohammed might discuss at a hookah bar, you’ll love T. E. T. E. Whitaker was raised in Iowa, across the road from a corn field. After graduating from the University of Iowa he moved to Southern California. He has worked as a knife salesman, filmmaker, web developer, marketer, and boot camp instructor.

In December of 2015 he published his first novel, Into Temptation. He is currently writing a five-book series, Chronicles of Vajra.

Chronicles of Vajra tells the sordid, hilarious tale of Brät, an aspiring filmmaker, lover of many women, self-styled physicist, and the world’s fifth-ranked online dater. It's a lightning-paced, pro-dominatrix, stripper-rich series featuring smart humor, hot sex, strong characters, and a scientific equation for each of life’s impenetrable mysteries.

Into Temptation breaks the bounds of religious satire, following Jesus as he returns to earth - with Lucifer's help - to stake his claim as King of Kings before God arrives and smites religion.

T. E. Whitaker writes novels and drinks espresso at a café table in Las Vegas.

This is one of those books that tries to be funny and hip and fails.

I read lots of books that parody religions; the Clovenhoof series for instance, so I am not at all offended when diverse religious figures all behave oddly.

But this book just tries to hard and fails.

The language reminded me of this

The Architect : The answer is simple. You are the eventuality of an anomaly. You are inexorably seeking a sedulant probability.

Cindy : Sedulant? I uh...

The Architect : [flipping through a thesaurus] Grotesquery?... No?... What about, contingent affirmation?... That's gotta mean somethin...
